  It's the best

  Originally I bought raw shea butter from a street vendor, ladies, waste no more money on high end product, this is natural, very inexpensive and is EXCELLENT - I am naturally olive toned however years in the sun produced age spots and as I began to tone my weight my face was sagging, I didn't really notice at first the good it was doing, everyone else did, I have no laugh lines, no sun frowny marks, spots are lighter and less noticable and I use this on virtually everything. It takes very little to cover your face and hands. Add a few wee drops of lavendar and you have a wonderful soothing, calming relaxant...   Geat Moisturizing...But No Healing

  Shea butter is well known for it's moisturizing, and more notably, healing properties. Shea butter, in it's natural form, is off-white, pale yellow, or cream colored after processing. It has a unique nutty smell which is not offensive. The smell will degrade over time after application...unless too much has been applied. Golden Shea Butter has palm oil added to it. Also, the healing component(s) of shea butter is quite sensitive. It deteriorates over a short period time or if the final product is altered too much.I've used this product for a year. While a great natural moisturizer, I did not observe any signs of healing.   I decided to purchase this product when I was watching some type of fashion video on Youtube with Amber Rose *Kanye West's infamous girlfriend *now ex*- anyway she was asked what was some of her favorite make up and skin care products. I was dying to know this because I love this woman and I find her skin to be absolutely flawless... I was shocked when she said raw african shea butter. She explained that she usually melts it in the microwave to soften it and puts it all over her body as soon as she gets out of the shower... Her face and everywhere else.. So, I just had to try it. I've always heard of using shea butter how it is a good moisturizer..but wow.. I noticed a difference in my face within two days... My skinned looked brighter... More clear..My complexion looks healthier.. My laugh lines look as if they are slowly disappearing...   The shea butter comes in a plastic container. It was not rock hard and I could easily scoop a bit into my finger and apply it to my face. I didn't have to microwave it. A little goes a long way... since too much shea butter can make one's face look greasy.   When the Shea Butter came at first I did not know what to make of it. I thought it looked like a lump of butter. I could not smell anything but soon I became creative and added scented oil after melting it down. It is amazing that just a little will go a long way. I can't get enough of it.   Creamy Shea Butter

  I have been using Shea Butter for several years now and works wonders on my dry aging skin. Over the years I have found that whipping it makes it creamy and easier to use than in its natural form right out of the container. When you get your butter, empty the contents of the plastic container into your stand mixer (use paddle attachment) and mix at low speed at first to keep it from flying everywhere. Then increase the speed a little at the time. The butter will gradually heat up from the agitation and will become smooth. At this point you may add a couple of drops of essential oils to make it smell good or you can add a little jojoba oil which will double your moisturizing power. Please note that if you choose to heat Shea butter, do it gradually and at very low heat (I use a double broiler when I need to heat it) because it has a very low heat tolerance, if overheated you will end up with a gritty consistency that is not correctable.   PHENOMENAL PRODUCT...

  I purchased this raw shea butter primarily for my hands and for under my eyes, and I couldn't be happier. I do not like creams or moisturizers that are synthetic or chemical based, and besides the fact that they aren't healthy - they never, ever work as well as they claim! The shea butter is a natural, thick, super-moisturizing emoilent that really gets the job done. My skin has never felt better. I used it for two days under my eyes and saw fine lines diminish more significantly than with months of use with other products. I now use this product on my entire body, including my ultra-sensitive face and I absolutly love it. It smooths knees, elbows, and rough heels, softens cuticles, and eases skin irritation.   Pure African Shea butter is one of the oldest forms of moisturizing around. It has been used in Africa for centuries. PURE RAW shea butter (not shea mixed with olive, mineral, or other oils...sometimes called Body Butters) is good for daily moisturizing of the body, face and hair. It is good for scarring, soothing stretch marks and a host of other things. Beware...a lot of retails (online and "regular" stores) sell low grades of shea butter OR shea mixed with other oils for unreal prices. This product is what I buy form various African vendors at conventions and small ethnic locations. It last long and it is real...no fancy packaging, etc. Just the product in a plain plastic jar. In addition to this I would recommend African Black Soap the best one is by DUDU Oson (I know I spelled it wrong) but you will know when you find it...it is a bit higher in price here at Amazon...but it is not a bad price.   On the recommendation of my dermatologist, I started using Shea Butter for a severe case of eczema that I've had about 2 years now. The eczema is pretty much all over my body (with just a little eczema on my hands, face, and scalp; and none on my feet), so I've been using alot of the Shea Butter. Since this is the first time I've used it, I can't say if good Shea Butter is what I'm about to describe.It's been 3 weeks since I started using the Shea Butter.FIRST IMPRESSIONS==================-It's like wax, but melts when rubbed on your skin.-For large areas, I use my thumb to crack the butter and then rub it between the palms of my hands and the consistency becomes more spreadable.-For smaller areas, I rub the butter with my fingertip and it melts the butter.-It covers well and even makes water bead up on your skin.   Don't ever buy this product! It is labeled with all the properties of real african shea butter, but it is hard and greasy. After testing this product, it is made with petrolatum which is the same stuff vaseline is made with. I could have bought a big tub of Vaseline for less than this crap. Real shea butter absorbs quickly into the skin and is never hard or greasy.   Comparison of this shea butter with real shea butter

  Customer Video Review Length:: 1:34 MinsHere is a video review of shea butter purchased from HalalEveryday vs. real shea butter from Back2Africa. From what I could tell, the one sold by HalalEveryday is indeed real shea butter. For the complainers saying that "It's mustard yellow" and that "it should be white" and it "smells like ashes" please research first before commenting. White shea butter is refined, meaning it has been stripped of its color and scent (along with its healing nutrients) with steam and bleaching chemicals. Naturally ivory colored shea butter and yellow ones do exist and it doesn't have to be white. As for it smelling like ashes, if you go to L'Occitane's website for Shea Butter, there's a video there you can watch showing you how shea butter is made from the nuts. The nuts are cooked, crushed, and toasted (making ashes) which is why you're smelling the ash scent. This scent is the same even with the so called "real" naturally colored ivory shea butters.   Mother Lode of Gold

  This is the fundamental ingredient in all the "with Shea Butter" products on the market. Bear in mind that this is the raw ingredient and while it can be used as-is, most products only contain a small fraction of the stuff. In fact, you may want to mix it with cheap body cream to make it easier to apply because a tiny bit of this goes a very long way. That means that the 32oz size will go a very long way. (Very much like buying ten pounds of paprika at Costco.) It will take you a long time to use it even if you slather yourself in it every day. The product works marvelously well. Apply it right after a shower so your skin will be warm enough to melt the butter and it absolutely will fix any rough, dry, cracking skin problems. My hands used to be so rough I had trouble handling delicate fabrics without shredding them and now they are amazingly smooth. For anyone with chronic dry skin, this is a must-have. 5/5 R. F.   This is not SHEA butter!!!

  I initially decided to try this stuff in hopes of healing my son's eczema on his face. I had tried several prescription meds. Of which would only work for a day. So after I read all the rave reviews on this I decided to buy a couple pounds...well, it worked! His eczema finally healed after a week or so of applying moRning and night. I also have been using it as a diaper cream on both my babies (no rashes since I started using it). Now, I have had months of experience with this stuff, one awful smelling tub (of which was replaced for free with an extra "ivory" tub)... And after researching more deeply have learned that this is NOT real Shea Butter! I became skeptical after discovering the horrible expired tub. After all, this seller said this product does not expire. Then I opened and smelled the "ivory" tub and it smelled like chemicals. This made me realize this was not the real thing.   If you have dry skin, this is the product for you! It works great! I love it. Mine acme in a tub, it felt very pasty and thick but it melts quickly with skin warmth. My skin feels so soft and moisturized once the shea butter has been absorbed. I recommend using it at night when you know you wont be going out. It feels a bit sticky at first but melts right into your skin and leaves nothing behind once its absorbed depending on your level of hydration, if your skin isn't very dry you can wipe away any excess should there be any.My skin is dry so it gets absorbed in fast.   warning this review is going to be a little long just because I want to be as detailed as possible to help who ever is looking into this product....I'm dark skin....I have stretch marks and some dark spots and discoloration.... after A LOT of research I came up with this product.NO it does not smell like Victoria secret! But I swear that's the ONLYYYYYYYYYY downside.   Great raw shea butter

  This shea butter is a great moisturizer, it feels amazing on the skin and works great as a hair conditioner too.It *does* smell. Not good. To me, it smells like old clay. It's not a horrible smell, it's just not good.I plan to whip the shea butter up with a little coconut oil and a nice smelling essential oil to improve the scent and make it a little easier to use.It is a little gritty when you first feel it. If you've ever played with 'moon sand', you will understand. But it melts quickly and smoothly in your handsOverall, 4 out of 5 stars, and considering that it smells the way it does only because it is organic and natural, I probably shouldn't have even subtracted one star.Great product that I will be recommending to family and friends :) 4/5 Bonnie L.   Very thick and rich, with an almost paste-like consistency, this butter has an earthy, interesting smell which I rather like. Another reviewer referred to it as 'nutty' and I think the description is apt.I rub the butter between my palms for about 10 seconds to soften it, then apply it to hands, elbows, knees, etc. My hands will inevitably, during cold weather, chap and crack terribly, often to the point of pain. But not this time! They have stayed very soft and lovely.   This shea butter is wonderful. It IS thick- but all natural 100% shea butter is. I use the back of my nail to scrape a small amount out of the container and warm it between my palms. It melts quickly and spreads smoothly.I use it on my hands and face before going to bed every night and I wake-up with very smooth, hydrated skin. I have even used it on my hair for anti-frizz.It DOES have a unique odor- but the slightly smokey smell comes from one of the stages of processing the nut oil over a flame.   I bought it to make whipped shea butter for my natural hair but I also used it on my skin and man. It beats lotion anyday! I love it. It's not such a great smelling product but so what.   I am trying to become more natural in my approach to a healthy body. I have been using black soap for a month and some change and I needed something to moisturize, that did not contain chemicals. I have found it!! Shea Butter is the best. It is long lasting and I like it because when applying it to your skin its almost like giving yourself a massage.   Rancid

  I can't really give this product a fair review since I didn't even get a chance to try it. The odor coming from a compromised plastic packaging (hole)was pretty rancid, so I returned the product. It smelled like it's been sitting around for many months.
