  Just purchased - good price (after checking out the ProX prices, and that thing they have on the infomercial at over $250).Anyway, at 61, my skin is pretty good for my age, but it ain't 25 year old skin anymore! This product has done a nice job, and I've only used it 3 times - I already see a difference, a 'brighter' refreshed look. Just for the hell of it, I used the pad twice, and it worked fine! Maybe I didn't use it long enough the first time so it still had some "go" left in it. But, give it the ol' 1-2 try!I would have liked the pads to be maybe a little more abrasive - for older skin, that would be better. Maybe they should offer a couple of different "grit" pads, like sandpaper!!I recently had 'real' microdermabrasion - I have a pretty high pain/discomfort threshold - well, let me tell you - that procedure wasn't pleasant, it bloody hurt, and........after 2 treatments with this high powered machine, I really saw little difference, not lasting,... 4/5 Barbara S.   I love this product. There are sufficient microdermabrasion pads included in this pack to get you hooked on using it--and hooked you will be, for the results speak for themselves. My face is squeaky clean and smooth after using, and I feel like my other facial products are that much more effective (such as moisturizers and serums) after using this product every 3 days. It seems to be having good results in terms of decreasing the look and size of my pores.As a fun aside note....I think that this product could also be used, ahem, for another purpose.   This is a great product and I love the price. It does pretty much what it is supposed to do but I can not use it 3/week as Neutrogena recommends. I only go for twice/ week if at all.   Buy this product and you will feel like you had a facial, seriously. I have used it twice and my skin felt ultra soft. This kit is easy to use, simply rub the crystals on your face for about 1-2 minutes. The crystals are like a salt scrub. Then put the peel serum directly on top of the crystals and rub for about 1 minute (it will feel warm on your skin). Then rinse throughly with warm water. Less than 5 minutes and you are finished! The kit looks like you could use it 10-20 times before running out. Be careful not to get it near your nostrils and eyes. After using this kit, my pores were less noticable and my skin wasn't red like most products will do.   I hemmed and hawed over buying this, spending 15 minutes looking at it in the drugstore before deciding to buy it. Then I had to literally run to the register and pay before I changed my mind. I'm glad I did.I didn't know what to expect, since I've never used a microdermabrasion product before. I have no regrets. This seemed to lift a veil of dullness from my face, even as I was massaging in the tiny crystals, which are the first half of the treatment. Both elements of the treatment smell divine. I recommend this product to anyone who is on a tight budget, or dosen't have time to skip off to a dermatologists office over their lunch break (like the beauty magazines nonchalantly suggest) for a professional chemical peel.The missing star is due to the high price. I think that there are similar products on the market available for 7-10 dollars less, though I can't vouch for their effectiveness.   The Neutrogena healthy skin rejuvenator is a great product!! It is like a facial at home. I have had this for about 2 years now and it makes my face feel so soft and I have seen a great reduction in pore size and skin tone eveness. I am 48 and people think I am in my early 30's and I'll take that any day. I also get asked about my skin regimin a lot and of course I mention this as part of it. For awhile there I panicked!!!   I purchased the Pretika Sonic Dermabrasion brush about 4 weeks ago, and it is a wonderful product! Originally wanted the clarisonic, but the Pretika is a great alternative and very reasonable price. My skin is combination (oily tzone). I dont have sensitive skin, so I use it daily on the lower setting as part of my regular skin care routine.. and once a week on stronger setting to exfoliate. My skin has never been smoother!! Its glowing, and keeps the blackheads away from my nose! I absolutely love it! I use glytone skin care products, and the brush definitely helps my skin better absorb them. Ive read alot of people who complain about the pretika brush dying on them after a short time... I believe that this will happen if u recharge the brush while its wet. Make sure the brush is completely dry before setting back to charge!! Especially the metal charging plates.   no more shiny forehead

  After I went for a round of 6 professional microdermabrasion treatments *I had the crystal microdermabrasion used in the spa* I noticed how great my skin was after that soI did LOTS of research to find a salon quality diamond tipped microdermabrasion machine.The reason I chose diamond tipped is for many reasons;1. Cheaper because you do not have to replace crystals like other machines. Also, when I was using the salon my results were inconsistant. About 3 out of 6 provided obvious results. When her chrystal machine was working properly I had great results but when It was not I would leave there with chrystals all cloging my pores. Also I would have the Aluminum oxide crystals in my nose.   I am pleased with my purchase. First I have to say that the company I purchased it through "The Shining Image" replied to my email questions promptly, and the shipment arrived on time, I also liked the fact that I could go to the ups site and see exactly where my shipment was at any time.I had a microdermabrasion treatment at a salon for 80.00, they suggested that I should come back weekly for the first 4-6 weeks. I knew that it wasn't going to be possible to afford to come back weekly so I started searching for my own machine. I am happy with this purchase, I received it today and used it for the first time tonight, the instructions were easy to follow and the the amount of suction felt the same as the one at the salon.   Fun to use

  This is no miracle product, but it is fun to use. You get to adjust a little dial and depending on what stage you're at, different concentrations of white and grey matter come out. It feels gritty, but unlike most coarse exfoliaters, the "grit" in this product is very very fine, almost like sand. The first time I used it, my face turned red for half an hour or so, but was extremely smooth.   I am a licensed skincare professional Color Me Beautiful Spa,in Houston Tx. This is a great product for a smaller and more personal spa like mine. I like the size that is the reason I bought it. It gives me the same results as a high tech machine thats bigger and takes up room and not as noisey.I priced several diamond dermabrasion machines with the same tools just higher wattage and this one gives the same beautiful results and less mess to clean. My clients pay $65 a treatment, so I have earned my money back and more. Also it works great as a combo treatment with an AHA (mild chemical peel)Lactic acid.   Bring Out The Baby In Your Face!

  I love this machine because it helps me to enjoy releasing a new and softer, more youthful look & feel of my face. I have yet to try it on my arms etc. but I am excited to do my other body parts for the summer season. The machine is nice and compact, however I wish the case was a bit larger for fitting the hose, power cord more neatly, the case is still nice for keeping everything together in one place, it would have also been nicer to have a larger case so that I could store all my diamond tips inside the case as well. A help line number for questions, tips, etc. would have been nice for a novice person such as myself. With all that being said, I still rate this machine 5 stars because of the results achieved after using it on my face, my makeup glides on more evenly & smoother (wow! my makeup glides on)...and yet the best is that I am using less makeup rather than more. It's not a miracle machine by no means, and yet it is a miracle machine?   Should have bought it long time ago!

  I have an extremely dry skin on my face, I've been dealing with it since childhood, I also have an exzema.While living in PA, I was going to a great beautician Debra for microdermabrasion sessions and my skin looked fine.When I moved to another state, maybe because of the stress of moving, a new job, big city pollution,etc. my face got covered with acnes and no matter what I did, it was getting worse and worse every day. I went to three different spas (each visit cost from $125-$200 plus tips), hoping that this one will make it work and will fix my problems, changed my routine products, each time to the best one according to a new beautician, I went from SKII to Natura Bisse then to some Texan holistic cosmetic (pretty good one actually! and cheap)then to Babor, then Darphin, and nothing, nothing was happening!   I LOVE this product! I never realized how special and amazing it is until I ran out. I have pretty dry but clear skin but lately I've been noticing a few tiny bumps in random places in my face like near forehead or nose, and I realized I don't use a proper exfoliator since I've run out of this. I just use Neutrogena's grapefruit wash in the morning and Olay's total effects cream cleanser at night, and it man it shows. My skin isn't as fresh as before, or soft, and exfoliating is SO important! I haven't been able to find this exact product lately so meanwhile I'm using my Clinique's 7 day Scrub and St Ives product is wayy cheaper and works better!   Can't live without it!!!

  I LOVE this product. I have extremely oily skin, large pores, and my face just never felt clean no matter how much I washed and scrubbed. I have tried many many products that leave me searching for something new, but not this baby, my pores are immaculate and my skin is clear, incredibly smooth and I feel like my skin is really breathing for the first time in years. I use it once every one or two days as needed following my facial wash (Loreal Skin Genesis deep Purifying Foaming Cream Cleanser). I hope this product is around the rest of my life. This is the best skincare regime I have ever had, it's perfect, my skin is finally balanced.   I have never written a product review before but for this I couldn't help myself. I have very oily skin. I tried almost every single product out there for my acne, even proactive. But after trying this I don't think I want to try anything else. I use it every morning. It cleans your face very well and my dark spots are fading also.   RE: Lost Suction... the solution

  Ive been reading great reviews, but users complain of lost suction... I almost didnt order one because of it. To make a long story short and to the point, there is a small silicone band that fits into one of the grooves of the wand. Mine popped off, I just happened to see it pop off or I wouldnt have known to even look for it. If you look at the produt diagram that came with the unit, you can sort of see a band in the groove, but it isnt labled. When it is missing, the unit has no vacuum seal and is ineffective. The problem is that you dont even realize that it is missing. Try using a tiny rubberband, you can get them at Walmart and at Dollar Tree stores in the hair section. Try slipping one into the groove and my guess is it will be just like new. Too bad the company doesnt lable it as a necessary componant of the system and maybe even include a few extras.   Amazing... then totally disappointed!

  I purchased this unit after seeing the infomercials and reading the product reviews on Amazon. I absolutely LOVED the unit the first 2 weeks I was using it. Then about 4 days ago I was doing another treatment and the unit lost suction in the middle of a treatment on my face. I am quite upset about it as I have come to depend upon the unit to help in treatments of acne scarring and dark marks on my face from sun damage.I have contacted the seller and am waiting as to what to do about it. I honestly LOVE the product but can't give it the original 5 star rating I would have 2 weeks ago now that the unit is becoming defective.If anyone else has this problem... please say so. I just am not sure why this happened to my unit, but I would like the manufacturer to send me a new one since I have only had it for 30 days.UPDATE: I called the company and they were not open for customer service on the weekends.   COMPLETELY frustrated. This product works for six weeks and the return time keep is only 30 days. The motor is TOTAL junk and quits the suction as soon as you can't return it.   So, I'm not really a big Avon fan. I think the last time I bought Avon I was 14 (I'm 33 now). But a girlfriend of mine recommended this product. I had a baby a few months ago so my skin was in turmoil. Dry, yet oily in some parts, uneven color and large pours. This product has been incredible. My skin is soft, and it was instant. I also had an acne scar on my right cheek and well as some lines on my forehead. I noticed in the first week that the lines were less noticable, and by the 3rd week that the scar is barely noticable. i have used many products, and even prescriptions from my dermatologist. I have to say this has been the best overall product I've used. Highly recommend for anyone!
