  I'm a man, who has naturally smooth, typically blemish free skin. My entire skin care regiment has basically consisted of a good soap and water scrub in the shower with my wash cloth, and that's that. My skin has never felt like it was in need of a moisturizer, and after a regular old shower wash it feels pretty good, or "dewy" as my wife likes to call it.But I'm also an actor, and I'm 31 years old now.   One day I woke up with what seems like the worst skin next to an elephant. 50 years old marked a drastic change to a once vibrant, supple, wrinkle free and youthful looking skin.   I bought this scrub from drugstore.com originally and fell in-love with it! This scrub leaves my face and body super smooth and silky...I even got my husband using it and it has cleared up his acne.   Do not dismiss this because it is a drugstore scrub! I tried this a few years ago, and found it to be a bit rough on my skin. HOWEVER, since then, my skin has changed and become oilier than it was. I got a sample of this, and decided to give it another try. It's absolutely wonderful! This time around, I didn't find it to be too rough, but rather just right. I am tired of finding face scrubs that are gentle and seem to do nothing. The St Ives leaves my skin very smooth, and it stays that way for at least a couple of days! Has a nice, non-medicial smell as well. I have tried more expensive department store brand scrubs (as well as other drugstore scrubs), and this seems to be the best of the best!   I like this stuff better than any of the high end stuff I can find. It is great for skin with acne. It is a very grainy scrub. It is NOT one of those really fine sand particle like scrubs that are the usual on the market. This one is different. There is another one that says it is for acne, but has salycylic acid. This one does not. I did not want to irritate my skin by adding that. I use this and then my Peter Thomas roth benzoyl peroxide wash. It keeps me from scratching my skin with my acne.   Not your same old Apricot Scrub!

  I hadn't used St. Ives Apricot Scrub in years because I'd moved on to higher priced and - I assumed - better scrubs. Just tried this scrub again and I was very pleasantly surprised! It really has changed: the scrub particles are finer than they used to be and, even though they provide fabulous exfoliation, there is nothing abrasive about this newer version. If you haven't used St. Ives Apricot Scrub in a while, I suggest you give it another try. I'm thrilled with it and have even started using it on my legs in the shower.   I am 22 years old and have been pretty lucky to have had clear skin all of my life except for the occasional pimple or two during my time of the month. I have never struggled with serious acne until about 8 months ago.   I agree completely with the review above. I've never had a huge skin problem either, I get the occasional zit but they are enormous and last for ages. I've tried so many products, expensive ones that you would think would kick them. You get what you pay for, right? Neutrogena gets rave reviews but does nothing for me. I picked this up on a whim after reading this review on amazon, mostly because it was cheap (I paid about $3) and I was tired of wasting $10 on a tube of cream that I would use for a week and then throw in the basement in disgust. I can't believe that a product so cheap can work so well, but this is a miracle worker. I don't use it consistently, just whenever I get a zit and it works IMMEDIATELY. You just rub a bit over the area, wash it and it scabs the thing right over and starts healing. They are usually under control within a day. Besides using it as a spot treatment, it makes your skin incredibly smooth.   Glowing skin for the best price.

  I'm 31 years old and have been using St. Ives apricot scrub ever since I can remember. It's a trick my other passed on to me.I have a pretty solid skin routine and I'm very picky. I have tried other more expensive brands only to find out it's not worth the splurge. I scrub it on my damp face 2-3 times a week and it makes my skin very smooth and even. It's great for using prior to skin masks as well.Although technically this product is supposed to control blackheads it will definitely not scrub them away. The blackheads that are already there need to be extracted individually (at a spa or at home and it hurts!!). What the product will do for blackheads is help prevent new ones by getting rid of dead skin cells and dirt.I must say I have never had severe acne problems so I'm not sure if this would help smooth out acne scars.If you're looking for something to get rid of dull skin and bring out the glow this is a good inexpensive way to do it. 5/5 C.   The smell, the consistency are both great. The fact that there are no animal ingredients and that this product is not tested on animals is even better. I love this body wash, it is moisturizing and does clean your skin well without drying it out.   No miracles

  While this product has a pleasant smell, it did not bring me any miracles. My skin is still broken out, my husbands breakouts got worse, and it is a drying product. I feel as though almost every face wash is the same at this point and I feel discouraged wasting money. Nearly everything has 2% salicylic acid, so they do the same thing to your skin - either that ingredient helps you or it doesn't.   I'm almost 60, been using this since my forties, my skin is soft as a baby's uknow what and blemish free. What's so interesting is how all those beauty editors, magazines bypass this simply amazing cleanser or suggest that apricot kernels might be too rough on the face-the same face they encourage us to use acid peels etc, chemical injections and other stuff when a good cleansing should be a woman's priority, especially if you're a heavy make up user-I'm not, but I like a 'clean palette' for some blush etc.And St Ives makes a version for 'sensitive skin' should you want to proceed with caution. If you have regular blackheads, bumps, oiliness etc. however, start with this if you want a good scrub. One quarter size dab applied in shower with fingertips as your 'scrubber' for a full minute is all you need and rinse off.   Best gentle deep cleanser

  I discovered this product 3 months ago at Rite Aid, and felt in love with it since then. I have sensitive combination skin, and tend to be alergic to products with too much chemical. This product does what it says. My skin felt really clean, but not dry with this cleanser, and it did not break me out. I'm really happy to find this product online because I could not find at the store anymore.   Okay, so I'm a guy... but yes, once a week I scrub my face with St Ives Swiss Formula Apricot Scrub. I have gone through this ritual for about 20 years now. I'm not crazy about the new scent, but this brand name item is the best out there. (I've used the generic). I'm 45 years old while writing this review... but I look at least 10 years younger. Is it because of St Ives or is it genetic? I'll never know... but I'm going to continue to use this product until I die. Keeps my face smooth (makes it easier to shave with an electric) and keeps my pores open.   the kind for non-sensitive skin is better...

  I wouldn't buy this unless you have VERY, VERY sensitive skin. The little beads they use instead of ground-up apricot pits in this one hardly does a thing for me. And the scent is not as nice as the regular non-sensitive skin scrub.   A great inexpensive scrub

  I have been using this scrub (sensitive skin, original, and the acne varieties) for over 10 years now. It's a great basic scrub that is inexpensive. I use it every morning in the shower and my makeup goes on a lot more evenly once I've exfoliated with it. My best friend tried it out when she stayed over my place and has been using it ever since as well. Even my boyfriend loves it and says that it prevents ingrown hairs on his face and neck from shaving. This is a great scrub and I'm going to keep buying it as long as St. Ives is making it.
