  It is hard to tell which Clinique Clarifying Lotion 2 formula comments are being made on. There are 3 formulations and most of the Counter reps are not even aware of this.Original FormulaINGREDIENTS: ALCOHOL DENAT., WATER\AQUA\EAU, HAMAMELIS VIRGINIANA (WITCH HAZEL), GLYCERIN, MENTHOL, SODIUM BORATE, EXT. VIOLET 2 (CI 60730), RED 33 (CI 17200), RED 6 (CI 15850), [ILN29288]Clinique, please bring back this formula. It gently exfoliates, minimizes pores and firms and moisturizes the skin. Denatured Alcohol is very gentle and not the same as rubbing alcohol. It does not dry the skin as so many want to believe. It also was a very clean smell and feel and I don't need to use a moisturizer. Doubt if there is any of this formula left on store shelves or in back stock.   They advertise this for normal/combination skin. But I think its for more rugged skin! Mine couldnt handle it. After a month of using it with the mild clinique soap, and the dramatically different lotion, my forehead was broken out, a complete mess!I thought I had somewhat normal skin, but after using this, I realize I have sensitive skin. The product burned and turned my skin red.Luckily I realized that Clinique made gentler versions. I bought the EXTRA-mild soap and the clairifying lotion #1 (while still using the moisturizer). And now my skin is finally healing, and starting to look great!If you are new to the 3-step system, I recommend starting out on the mildest versions. And work your way up if you need something stronger.   I recently bought this after reading the reviews on sephora ratings and reviews. Please look at that before you decide not to get it. It works great. My skin got smoother almost overnight. I started off using it 2x a day but my skin got dry. I did some research and I see most people only use it once a day so thats what I do now.   Clinique Clarifying Lotion is Step #2 in their 3-step skin care system. (You start with their soap, and then follow the lotion with the Dramatically Different Moisturizer). What I love about this one, made for larger pores, is that really effectively exfoliates and resurfaces your skin without stripping it of its natural oils too much.   Amazing exfoliator and acne prevention!

  I'm a 16 years old guy. My mom recommended this product to me a few months ago. At first I was a little skeptic about this product since I heard that if it burns, it means the person's skin is irritated by it, which happened to me after using it for the first time. I stopped for 1 week, then decided to use it again, but that time, it was continuously and I ignored the burn. I had severe acne back then, but 3 months later, all those severe acne are gone and it's all scars now, but no more bumps/whiteheads whatsoever! My acne scars went from red to dark and is now in the process peeling off which means it is now in the exfoliating mode. I have a before and after picture of my acne but I will not post it for now. Also, it smoothed my skin out and even out the tone. Though the bad thing is that it burns and gets your face dry, so I recommend applying a non-comedogenic moisturizer such as Aveeno.   Best facial moisturizer I've ever used....

  My mother used this every day when I was growing up and so I started using it sometime in highschool when I would have dry skin on my face or was peeling from sun exposure, etc. I don't have dry skin, but there are times when I need this lotion, mostly when it's really cold or when I've been out in the sun, but it works well under my makeup, it doesn't cause break outs, and it doesn't burn or have an odor. So, I'm definitely hooked on this stuff. VIOLET 2 (CI 60730), RED 33 (CI 17200), RED 6 (CI 15850), [ILN29288]Clinique, please bring back this formula. It gently exfoliates, minimizes pores and firms and moisturizes the skin. Denatured Alcohol is very gentle and not the same as rubbing alcohol. It does not dry the skin as so many want to believe. It also was a very clean smell and feel and I don't need to use a moisturizer. Doubt if there is any of this formula left on store shelves or in back stock.
