  Cetaphil is best for me year after year

  When I find a product to be excellent, I tend to remain loyal. I may try others, but I return to the one which continues to prove it's excellence year after year. Despite more costly products I've tried as samples, Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser has been my cleanser of choice for many years. I've tried a generic brand from CVS and found it to be much more slimy and thick than the real thing and gave it away to a less scrutinizing customer.My skin and eyes are extremely sensitive and can become dry, so I am very cautious when trying new products. This one was recommended by a dermatologist and I'm very grateful for the suggestion because it meets my desires in a cleanser. It is extremely gentle, fragrance free and can be used directly on my eyes. I apply it onto my dry face, rub it all over, including the eyelids, then rinse it off and pat my face dry.   I've used this skin cleanser for close to 20 years and love it!!! Very gentle, doesn't dry out skin and removes makeup wonderfully. Gentle enough to remove eye makeup too.   Really Great Gentle Facial Cleanser

  Cetaphil is an amazing product. Our family has been using it for the longest time. It is not sudsy like ordinary soap which makes it very easy to rinse. You will not spend a lot of time just to remove that slippery feeling when using soaps. After you dry with a face towel, you will feel the difference on your skin. Oil is gone without you face feeling stretch dry. It is very gentle it was recommended before by my wife's derma for one of my sons when he had a skin problem.   Lifesaver.

  Or it seemed so at the time. I was suffering from very dry skin and skin allergies and this product was the only thing that didn't irritate it even more.I'm a lifelong itcher. My skin is dry. I have eczema, dermatitis, allergies. It seems there's always something that makes my skin itchy whether it's wool clothing, drying cold winter air, or simply my skin conditions. I've tried just about everything over the years but regular lotions - even the fragrance-free, dermatologist-recommended ones - don't work for me. I've tried Neutrogena, Aquaphor, Lubriderm, etc. There are great applications for each of those but as a general moisturizer that doesn't make itchiness worse and really seems to moisturize gently, Cetaphil Moisturizing Cream does the trick. Creams, lotions, and petroleum-based moisturizers all feel differently and work differently. Some irritate my skin, some don't. So far, this cream has not disappointed me in any way.   Relieves Psoriasis-related symtoms

  Since 1995 I was diagnosed with psoriasis. I follow the therapy prescribed and have been living as close to normal as possible. Psoriasis is a condition wherein certain areas of your body, the skin matures at a very accelerated pace. I get the new skin to dead skin cycle twice in a day. It is unsightly and uncomfortable. I use a medication which retards the process but I accepted the fact that unless I undergo an expensive therapy, the condition will prevail. The Cetaphil Moisturizing Cream has relieved me of much discomfort due to the constant flaking of my skin. I sleep well at nights not waking up to the itchiness and the sandpaper roughness brought about by the psoriasis.   I absolutely love the cetaphil in the jar. It's incredibly thick but absorbs quickly and without leaving a greasy feeling behind. I used it head to toe throughout my pregnancy and it relieved the itching much better than any other cream i tried. My three month old had developed eczema and dry, chapped, winter skin and after just a few days this cream had completely cleared up the problems.   I've suffered from eczema since I was born. Never in my life have I found a lotion that moisturizes like Cetaphil Restoraderm. Trust me, I have tried even the most hard to find lotions and cream. This is only one in 5 products that the NEA have suggested for use on sensitive eczema skin. And it's worth the price. Yes, in the beginning, it feels a little light, but after 3 weeks of use, my skin does not have the dryness and inflammation that occurs with every other over the counter product I've tried. Normally, each week I have to use a steroid ointment to settle my skin from the past week. Not so with this product. Every time you switch products, the body needs to re-adjust to the new ingredients.   I could tolerate nothing on my face until this. Used with the Restoraderm cleanser, my face feels moisturized and silky for the first time in years. At first the lotion feels like nothing special.   No Mineral Oil or Petrolatum, Works on my 5 MO baby with eczema & cradle cap

  My 5 month old infant has very dry, flaking skin in patches from either cradle cap or eczema or both. Whenever I used a product containing mineral oil or petrolatum, her condition would deteriorate.This is one of the very few products I could find anywhere that works for eczema on infants but does not contain mineral oil or petrolatum. It works very well at soothing her skin. I use the lotion often and she drinks it up. I only wish they would develop a thicker cream as well in this line, because I would use that product also.I would highly recommend this to any infant with very sensitive or dry skin.   I have suffered from eczema since my last pregnancy, and it hasn't gone away. I tried to treat myself with products from the natural & organic lines, but found no relief. I usually shy away from products like Cetaphil and others, loaded with chemicals and what not. But I tried it out of desperation (and convenience when my dermatologist handed me a free sample).This moisturizer is awesome. It's fragrance free, and so gentle.   I love this lotion....and was quite surprised.

  I've had this lotion on my shelf for months and kept using my 'fancier', good smelling stuff. I guess you could say that I am sort of a 'lotion junky' because I have so many. I even have some in a storage room because I don't have enough room on my closet shelves for all of them. I have some that I love the fragrance and some that I just thought were better for some reason. I don't know why because I hadn't even opened my Cetaphil lotion yet. Maybe because it's in such a plain bottle. But, as they say, "don't judge a book by it's cover". I now know this applies to my Cetaphil lotion.   Allergen inside - beware!

  I bought this product based on a recommendation by my pediatrician, as well as recommendations from friends, for my daughter's dry skin/eczema. This product did not help her and caused her much discomfort. We later learned she is allergic to almonds and this product contains Almond Oil, to which she reacted negatively.I gave it 3 stars because I know for some people, it works great, but the fact that it contains a highly known allergen makes it risky in my opinion.   Scratches Be Damned!!!

  I've been trying to compile a "Holy Grail" list of products that my overly-sensitive, bad-natured, hissy-fit-having skin agrees with for a very long time now.I have very oily, very hyper-sensitive skin that has never responded to any prescription treatments from doctors or dermatologists. And if that isn't enough, I also suffer from what has been diagnosed as Cholinergic Urticaria (scratches appearing on skin after sweating..i.e..from exercising or whatever) and Dermographism, where long, welt-like scratches will present themselves on my back, arms and neck for no apparent reason and at any given time. The scratches look as if someone/something has attacked my skin with a vengence.   I have scalp psoriasis (a autoimmune condition that causes scaly dry skin and can be aggravated by normal soaps and shampoos) I was prescribed a steroid ointment for my condition which did end up working...until I ran out and it set me back $50. I decided to try something else and I had heard good things about cetaphil for eczema and dermatitis problems so I gave this new product a shot. My head was a big red scaly mess and I was losing hair so I had nothing else to lose. I have use both the restoraderm lotion and the body wash for a month (yes on my scalp) and I am symptom free.   This plus lotion cured daughter's eczema

  Cetaphil Restoraderm was recommended to us by my daughter's allergist (she's two). The Restoraderm system has left her so incredibly soft and completely unlike her splotchy, rough baby pictures. We tried so many products (as have I, I have extremely sensitive skin) and this is the stuff that really works! She now only rarely uses cortisone cream.Update: After using for one year, I still swear by this skin wash. I'm a little mixed on the lotion. My daughter has recently complained of "ouchies" after using the lotion on her flare-ups. I switched to an old standby, Vanicream (about as plain a lotion as you can get), and her skin is perfect.Another remedy that we accidentally stumbled upon is putting baking soda in the bath. We use about 1/4 cup for a full bathtub.   Miracle soap for eczema and psoriasis sufferers!

  I cannot express my gratitude for this soap. I've lived with eczema and psoriasis for the last 10 years. After trying Dial Gold antibacterial soap, I avoided antibacterial soaps altogether because I didn't like the way it dried out my skin. I was skeptical of Cetaphil, but decided to give it a try based on all the glowing reviews. It's been 3 months since I started using this soap and my skin has cleared up considerably. I haven't gone this long with clear skin for years. I don't know what is in this soap, but I will say it's close to a miracle for those of us with skin problems. I used to be exclusive to Aveeno Skin Relief Body Wash (fragrance free), but I've now switched entirely to Cetaphil. This soap does not dry out your skin like other antibacterial soaps. In fact, it is so gentle that you can't even tell it's antibacterial. It's more pricey, but definitely worth it.   Stick to Cetaphil gentle skin cleanser if you have combination skin

  I purchased Cetaphil for normal to oily skin on the whim to see if it was any different from their Gentle Skin Cleanser line. I have the most polar combination skin possible, my cheeks generally are extremely dry whereas my forehead becomes very oily. All these problems are compounded by my dermatologist's retinoid prescriptions for controlling my acne, I end up with flaky and irritated skin on top of my oil and dryness issues; what a pain!If you are cursed with skin like mine, I would not recommend this cleanser. Contrary to what it says, it does not "removes surface oils, dirt and makeup without leaving skin tight or overly dry." It does strip all the oils off my face, but it leaves my face feeling extremely dry, to the point where my skin feels like saran wrap, tight, plastic-like, and rubbery.   Great Product. A Regular Item in Our Grocery List

  Cetaphil is an amazing product. Our family has been using it for such a long time that I can remember. It is not sudsy like ordinary soap which makes it very easy to rinse. You will not spend a lot of time just to remove that slippery feeling when using soaps. After you dry with a face towel, you will feel the difference on your skin.   Far too harsh?

  I have never found that perfect product that my skin jives well with. I read about cetaphil and most people talk about it like it is the 2nd coming of cleansers. Unfortunately this product caused my skin to burn and itch and break out very badly. After 3 days my nose feels like it has lizard scales and my chin and cheeks are a minefield of pimples. I have no idea how to fix the damage that this has caused. I used my regular product today and my skin still hurts.What i'm saying is I am not sure this is for super sensitive skin. 1/5 M.   I love Cetaphil Cleansing Bar

  I love Cetaphil. I use it every day, many times a day. It doesn't dry my skin the way other cleansers and soaps do. I take Cetaphil with me when I travel. I wash my face with it as well as bathing with Cetaphil. My teen-age daughter washes her face with it, too. It's the best!   This bar soap is the only kind I can use to help avoid contact dermatitis. It is gentle on your skin and and because your skin is less aggravated by harsh or regular soaps you will have less reactions and rashes from coming in contact with allergens. It was recommended by my dermatologist. I do NOT use the antibacterial formulation because constant use of antibacterial soaps also kill the good bacteria on your skin an can lead to problems. This formulation is the best for daily use. I buy it in the six-pack to save money as it is more expensive than regular soap, but so much more worth it for its benefits. 5/5 D.   The Cetaphil Daily Advamced Ultra Hydrating Cream, 8oz. is the latest product from Cetaphil. It also comes in a lotion form, 16 fl.oz. My skin has been becoming more sensitive through the years and as a result I was constantly on the lookout for facial care products for sensitive skin. I've tried lots of products and have spent more than I care to admit but I had heard about this cream and knew of the Cetaphil product line so I decided to try it. I should also mention that my skin is also dry and prone to itchy red patches on my cheeks which have driven me crazy this winter.This cream is especially formulated for dry and sensitive skin types ONLY. After cleansing I spritzed my face and neck with distilled h2o as normal tap h2o irritates my skin from the additives the city puts in the drinking water. my skin immediately absorpted the cream and left my face feeling very soft, not irritated at all, and calm.   Use all over!

  I am amazed to find this one lotion is exactly what I need to replace all other lotions and creams! I've bought fancy smelly stuff and expensive top shelf organic products but couldn't find the right ones to stick with. This is it! This goes on nicely and feels good and hydrates my skin. I even wear this under makeup! For me.., it's a night and day cream, body, face, and hand cream. It's well worth the $7.00 to $10.00 a tube.., especially since I won't be wasting money on all those other products. FINALLY! I'll have way, way less products in the bathroom from now on. It even CURED dry elbows! I have good results with this lotion and it feels so natural on my skin .., like I'm not wearing anything extra. I would have preferred there was a nice fragrance to it but since it's hypoallergenic so there is no scent at all. The beneficial results though can't be denied.   The best deep hydration for your face and eye area- & best eye make-up remover

  I had terrible excema on my eye lids and tried all sorts of expensive products and my dermatologist suggested that I try this on my eye lids and it worked! I apply it twice a day and it doesn't irritate my eyes at all. I then noticed that it works perfectly as an eye makeup remover and much better than ANY expensive eye make-up remover that I've tried.So, *****best eye hydration and best eye make-up remover.
