  Amazing skin but traumatic process!

  This product improved the appearance of my skin by reducing acne scars and hyperpigmentation after just one use but my gosh is this stuff strong! I have been using another brand's 25% strength peel for a year and yet this brand's 40% was incredibly intense in comparison! My entire face peeled for five days post peel and immediately after using the peel I experienced much more than " slight redness". My skin had the texture of an aligator and was extremely red and felt as if it was burning off. So, be prepared for that if you use this product. I am planning to use it again as the results were so great but am a bit frightened to due to the extreme peeling. Overall, I recommend it but with a word of caution as this peel can be traumatizing if you expect " slight redness" and end up with a red alligator face! 4/5 Sofia O.   Very impressed!

  I am new to chemical peels, and I first want to say that is product is great and certainly worth the price. If you know exactly what you are doing, you can benefit in several ways from this product. After my second peel with the product, I noticed my skin was firmer, smoother, more even colored, and it has **significantly reduced the acne on my face.**This product is very strong, so be careful. I wipe my skin with alcohol to srip away all oils, wait 2-3 minutes, and thinly apply the Glycolic acid to first face and whatever is left on the cotton pad to my neck. I started out at 3 minutes, and have increased the time 20 seconds with each consecutive peel. Be aware that the product will cause medium discomfort, but that only means it's working! I apply a solution of baking soda and water to my face once the time is up.   WONDERFUL product, not for the beginner!

  After having spent $150 a pop for glycolic peels at a doctor's office, I decided to try this out at home. Two weeks prior to my office peels, the aesthetician instructed me to use a glycolic face wash and use glycolic cream (Jan Marini brand, the best!) for two weeks prior in order to get my skin prepped and used to the lower level of glycolic acid. I use Jan Marini products religiously (the face wash has 12% glycolic acid), so I felt I was good and ready to give this a whirl at home. I left it on for only 3 minutes, and when I splashed my face off with the sinkful of water & baking soda (FOLLOW THE DIRECTIONS!!), I could feel that this was a deeper peel than I had received at the doctors'. I put on some moisturizer and still felt a little 'sunburnt'. The next day, I could see that my skin looked better, but was tight and dry. More moisturizer and 30 SPF sunscreen (a MUST, especially right after a peel). Otherwise product seems to perform well.   I did not realize this product was for 60+ skin when I bought it, so I was a little hesitant to use it (I'm in my forties), but I'm glad I did.   I've been using this product for about 4 weeks. I've noticed a big difference in the minimizing/disappearance of tiny age spots on my face. Of the 3 larger spots, one is noticeably paler. I'm hoping that in another month, the others will fade some,too. My skin feels hydrated and soft. Since it doesn't take much product, I think it will last a long time.   Ok is you haven't tried "real" professional products.

  I have been using the Olay Discoloaration fighting concentrate for 4 weeks and it has done an ok job.It has faded some marks a little, but does not work as well as the real over the counter products I get from the pharmacy or dermatologist.If you haven't tried anything else before it might work very well, but I was already using Neostrata lightening creams that are half the price ($30 for 15ml), considering Olay costs $70 around here in stores it is really not that worth it.At least Olay has a money back option for this new line so I'm not out of my hard earned money.I do like all the regular Olay products though and have gotten so many compliments on the "touch of foundation" creams! 3/5 M.   I've been using this product for 3 weeks, twice a day, and have seen a major improvement in fading of brown spots. At this point, the spots have faded by about 80%, so much so that I have to look extra hard with reading glasses to find the right places to apply the lotion.   I'm African American, have sensitive skin. You will get good results if you use it correctly. Use it incorrectly, and it will just be counterproductive.   I just started using this and almost immediately saw results.I had been using 10% Alpha hydrox cream for a few weeks and wasnt happy with the initial condition of my skin(I know it gets better later).That cream actually seems to cause hyperpigmentation as it dries out my skin.When I added this,I saw immediate results.As in,I went to bed and awoke to lighter acne scars.Not gone,but I can see it is working.I have used Alpha Hydrox on and off for years and always come back.I did not hesitate to try this as their products have always been effective and economical.Ive tried alot of products over the years,so I know the good and the bad.Im really thrilled that they make this cream and Ive just ordered 3 more.This is only second to Dr.Varons skin bleaching or Mederma.Both of those are more expensive.so Ill stick to this. 5/5 L.   Best skin lightener without irritation

  I've tried various skin lighteners out there. Even by prescription. The ones prescribed made my skin peel, burn and turn red until I had to stop using them. This product did not irritate my skin at all and I saw results in the first few weeks. I have sun spots (darkened patches of skin) from birth control. Even after I went off, the spots did not go away. Once I got pregnant, I got a lot of little clusters all around my checks and forehead. I don't think any product will fully rid of every mark on my skin. However, this product significantly faded them and with a little make-up made them a lot less apparent.   Review after two bottles

  I began considering age spot removal when sun spots (kinder phrase than "age spots") were growing more visible on my upper cheeks as I enter my early 40's. A little research and shopping time on Amazon, I chose Murad. I started a twice-daily routine of Noxema and Murad. After months, I was in the middle of my second bottle before noticing results. They are slow but the spots have certainly faded.Soon after acquiring my third bottle from Amazon, I ran across a Shiseido cream. Though more expensive, results are seen in a couple weeks. I still use Murad for spot areas on my skin, though Shiseido has won me over.In summary, Murad's effectiveness depends on individual skin type. I can say it did work on me, though much slower that I had anticipated or hoped. I can say I've never experienced irritation of any sort. 3/5 mg!   Wish I had before and after photos!

  I am not one of those women that likes to shop, so my sister was kind enough to inquire at some beauty store about the dark spots on my face (mostly scaring from picking at acne) and the fact that I have extremely sensitive skin. So much so that I usually just wash my face with plain water as the majority of cleansers irritate and/or burn my skin.The store recommended the Murad Environmental Shield Essential-C line. My sister gave me the starter kit for my birthday.I was skeptical, but figured I would give it a try. None of the products burned or irritated my skin in the following days, so I kept using the products. In less than a week, I noticed a lot of my spots were fading and that some were completely *gone*!My husband actually noticed and said that I looked like I was glowing -- his word, not mine.
