  Proactiv has worked for me

  When I was younger I used more intense medications (prescription mostly) and they would make my skin beat red and turn it so dry and flaky that it wasn't even worth it in the end. Proactive has never had this type of effect on me and I consider myself to have very sensitive skin. Since I have such sensitive skin, my skin tends to have a bit of redness in general, but I also take Inositol powder which makes it appear more 'pink' and bright than anything else. Proactiv makes my skin very smooth and even toned and I NEVER have a breakout while using Proactiv along with the inositol.If you have sensitive skin, I also highly recommend Inositol powder, . It's something I discovered a couple years ago, works from the inside as the procativ attacks the acne from the surface.   Works well but....

  Acne is complicated and varies from person to person.While this product may not work for some, it worked for me.I've had acne since I was 16 (I am now 22) and I tried Proactiv when I was 19 on and off. Sometimes, it would work, sometimes my acne is very stubborn and Proactiv wasn't very effective. BUT it worked the majority of the time, so it is worth buying and trying.The only con is that it makes my skin a little sensitive and doesn't keep acne off.Recently, I am into more natural products such as and I found it to be just as effective without the added sensitivity...and because it is all organic and natural, I can use it everyday safely to keep the acne from coming back.   Cleared acne in 10 days

  I had always wanted to give Proactive a try. There seems to be a lot of hype surrounding this product so I figured I'd give it a shot. I had a problem with acne on and off for years. I thought it would be a thing of the past when I became an adult but I guess not. I read reviews of several people who saw outstanding results when they combined the Proactiv system with an acne pill called Clearzine. So I decided to do the same. I did not expect this stuff to work so well in a month's time, much less the 10 days it took to completely wipe out my acne. I am so impressed with this combo and my face hasn't looked this clear in years. If you want your skin clear fast, these two seem to be a winning combination. I would highly recommend them.   Worth the price

  My skin is acne prone and I have tried many things in the past to make it clear up, but nothing has worked. At first Proactiv was a little irritating and drying for me. Word of advice, don't get it near your eyes because the cleanser does sting. The 3 step worked right away for me, within a couple weeks my skin started getting clear and brighter. Occasionally I have minor breakouts, but nothing compared to before starting this kit. It's been a year now and I've never used any of the other products in the line, except this 3 piece kit and another moisturizer. The kit alone dries out my skin, so I use a separate moisturizer and SPF. The price is a little high for this kit, but here on Amazon I compared to the Proactiv site and another site who also sell these products and this price here is most competitive. I like being able to purchase what I need instead of an entire kit at one time. A friend recommended Proactiv to me.   Very very good product when it comes to eliminating pimples, blemishes and blackheads. It works very well.   proactiv works, but don't buy it here!!

  When I placed this order, I paid extra for shipping so that I would get it sooner. Not only did I never receive a shipment confirmation or tracking number from the company, but two weeks after I placed the order, I finally started to attempt to track my package and found that UPS had apparently "delivered" the proactiv to me a week before. Not true. I emailed the company, played email-tag with them for two days, after which they promised to expedite my order within two days. A week later I finally received my package. The proactiv bottles came in a sketchy kitchen zip-lock bag. The whole thing was so weird, I felt like I had to look over each bottle with a magnifying glass to make sure they hadn't been tampered with! I will never order from this company again. I love proactiv and proactiv products, and have a long-standing and very happy relationship with Amazon.com, however I wouldn't recommend this particular company to my worst enemy.   i just received my package today and I was disappointed to say the least. I paid for a 60 day supply (which is what size the product is said to be) and i received a 30 day supply. Also, the toner (which is always the thing that runs out first) was leaking in the package, and was already a quarter empty.   This is really a GREAT price for the giant sized proactiv. I've seen it on QVC for about 5 dollars less (the giant sized) so you may want to check there as well.Don't bother with the smaller sizes unless you need to buy them for air-travel; these are too big and might be thrown out if you try to take them on a carry-on-- you don't want that!Just invest in these larger sizes and I think you'll be very happy. The cleanser and the repairing lotion always goes first for me, I don't use the toner as much. But It's still cheaper for me to buy the kit then bother with the smaller individual sizes.Proactiv works for me. It doesn't work overnight, but it really works.   Doesn't Help Severe Acne, But May Help You Develop a Hygiene Routine

  My teenaged son has had a bad case of acne for more than a year now. We've tried a variety of different medicines, one of which actually made his acne worse!It seems like nothing we tried worked, so after hearing several friends recommend Proactiv, we decided to take the plunge and buy a 2-month supply, even though it's a little expensive. After using it for several weeks now, we've seen a very slight improvement in our son's acne, but nothing major.We finally got fed up with all of the over the counter stuff and decided to visit our pediatrician. He told us that our son had 3-4 level acne on the Pillsbury scale which classifies the severity of acne from 1 to 4. Our doctor said that what's in Proactiv isn't really that much different than what's in most of the other over the counter products.   I've suffered with acne for years, and this product has help tremendously. My skin became clearer witn noticably health glow after only a couple days. After about 2 weeks of use, I stopped using the wash (mainly because my skin was clear), and only use the mask and green tea moisturizer. I purchased a cheaper salicylic acid cleaner. I do breakout occassionally since I stopped using it, but, I use the mask as a spot treatment, and sometime the pimple is gone by morning! I do love this product. I did try the original Proactive, which uses Benzoyl peroxide, and it was too harsh, making my skin 10 times worse.   Worked great.... for the first 2.5 months

  When I first bought it, it worked well so quickly (I could see a difference after 3 days) However, I found that acne started to emerge after 2.5 months of using it and my face was no longer responding to the gentle formula.   In the past 6 months I have graduated from law school (after a killer finals period) and I have been studying for the Bar exam. My face broke out worse these past 6 months from stress than it ever did when I was in high school. I have tried proactive (highly allergic) and the stuff for teenagers does not work on my adult skin (too harsh). My skin noticeably improved after just one use of this product-even my parents commented. Some comments about the products-1)Cleanser- does not foam (which I know can bother some people), very soothing, not drying.2)Treatment-absorbs into skin well, doesn't burn. I have been following the directions on the package (use 1-3x a day) and only using it once a day because I think more than that would be too drying.   Worth the wait!!

  I have been using Proavtive for years and it was starting to become very ineffective at keeping my skin clear. It never totally got rid of the breakouts but it controlled them better and they were not as severe.For the last year I was getting little red bumps all over my face and Proactive was NOT helping with them so I decided to try something else! I saw Olay Professional Pro-X Clear Acne Protocol reviewed in In-Style Magazine and they had mentioned it had helped the author with some of the similar problems I had been experiencing so I decided to try it.Pricing is comparable to Proactive so that is not an issue. After trying Pro-X Clear for two weeks I was frustrated because I felt I had more breakouts then before...I was freaking out! But then I remembered the review from the magazine that said you HAVE to give this product at least four weeks!   I had hoped for better

  I'm 46 and have been battling acne for 30 yrs. I've never managed to achieve perfectly clear skin, but for the past several years I've been using other Olay products that have kept it pretty much under control, aside from the occasional 1-2 hormonal related monthly blemishes. I tried this new system hoping to maybe even manage to eliminate those. When I started, my skin was currently in its best condition, having just cleared up the last monthly blemish (they usually only last about 3 days). Unfortunately, after a little over a week on these products I now have 6 new active blemishes, 2 of which I have been dealing with for 5 days now with no improvement in sight. My skin hasn't been this bad in years. :-(I guess I'll be returning to my previous regimen, which includes Olay's Total Effects 7-in-1 Anti-aging Cleanser plus Blemish Control, Olay Oil Minimizing Toner, Olay Complete Daily UV Moisturizer for Combination/Oily skin, and Total Effects Night Firming Cream.
