I got the whole thing of burts bees and i love it but theirs something in here that i dont kno what it is. WHAT IS hand salve?

It's like a lotion, softening the skin while providing a protective layer.

i luv the burts bees lipgloss. And i want to try the lip shimmer they have. Does that stuff last long?

Yes, it does last a good while. I usually apply it about 2 X per day. I love it - it is not as heavy as a lipstick but gives you great color. I especially love the Rhubarb color.

    Once you go Burt's, you never go back!

    This is the real deal! I tried them all and then decided to shell out an extra 50 cents to try Burt's original. It has a cool, refreshing peppermint-ish kick that cools your lips and moisturizes. I will never go back or even bother tying any other kinds of lip balm now. This is indeed the best! Amazons under $10 for 4 is better than Walmart by a couple bucks so you might as well get them here.     A favorite of many, but some downsides to be aware of

    Burt's Bees makes good natural body products, and this balm is natural-- mostly beeswax, with sunflower seed oil, mint, vitamin e, lanolin, rosemary, glycerin and canola oil. It goes on rather thick and pasty, and tastes of mint. However, it does not heal the cracks in my lips due to the slightly irritating nature of mint oil (for me) and because I'm slightly sensitive to lanolin, like many people. I find this is not very helpful for my chapped lips, and I prefer other brands. The good thing about this balm is that it stays on and if you are out in the cold, it provides a protective layer due to the beeswax.     Not for everyone

    My co-worker recommended Burt's, and practically every reviewer loves this balm, but it actually seemed to make my lips worse. This seemed to dry out my lips; my lips peeled a lot more when I used this, and I've tried many lip balms! This and SoftLips are two balms I would never buy, because they just don't work well with my body chemistry. My boyfriend, who's very frugal, bought this even though he could buy cheap 50 cents generic balm, because he likes it that much. That coming from a guy who usually doesn't care if his lips are dry.     We happened on Burt's Bees by accident when we went to buy more we thought it was a bit too pricey at Wal-Mart so we when I found this kit on here I snatched it up.     Natural Healing in No Time

    I got a nasty cut on my arm one week prior to knee surgery, and I was worried about the risk of infection. I remembered the Burt's Bee's Res-Q ointment I'd purchased recently, and began applying it several times a day to the cut and applying a Band-Aid. Five or six days later when it came time for my surgery, the cut was fully closed and healing well. I'm not sure the cut healed any faster than if I'd put a topical neosporin/bacitracin ointment on it, but it was reasaurring to know the Burt's Bees ointment was more natural and probably more gentle. My only complaint (and thus the 4 star rating) is the ointment tends to leave a green residue on clothing, so I find I have to wear a Band-Aid if I use it in a location (such as upper arm or knee) that will have clothing brushing up against it. 4/5 Shannon D.     A must-have in the medicine chest

    Not only does this heal minor cuts and other abrasions, it seems to reduce some of the scarring, at least, it did for me. I had a cut on my elbow that was sealed over, and this did wonders to reduce the discoloration and scar to a minimum. Plus, it smells wonderful and feels great.     Great Trial of Burt's Bees Products

    I purchased this trial pack so that I could try some of Burt's Bees other products, as my husband and myself are addicted to Burt's Chapstick. So far, so great! I really enjoy the smell of the body wash, the milk and honey lotion is amazing, my skin feels moisturized and smooth, and the foot cream and hand salve are awesome!     This is not a bad baby wash, but I have to say it's different than the Burt's Bees Baby Bee Shampoo & Wash 96% natural. They both are OK, but they are different products! The 99% natural is a milky liquid, and it feels like it has a conditioner in it - it's better for the hair, but it doesn't lather a lot, and I ended up using much more of it to wash my son. It's fragrance free, but there is still some scent to it - probably the oils. The 96% natural is a clear yellow liquid, it has a strong fragrance (like many Burt's Bees products, unfortunately), and it lathers much more. The 96% lasted for over six months of every day washes, when this one is almost gone after a month... I would say that the 99% natural is a better shampoo, when the 96% natural is a better body wash.     Safe for baby

    According to the Environmental Working Group's [...] work on toxins in consumer products, Burts Bees Baby Bee Fragrance-Free Shampoo rates a 2 out of 10. Lower numbers represent a lower health risk...Aside from the lower risk factors, it smells really nice. I know it is listed as fragrance-free, but the natural oils used in the product do have a natural scent (rosewood, sweet almond, coriander fruit oil). I think Burts Bees means "no added or artificial" fragrance when it states fragrance-free. My girls love it...it lathers nicely and rinses away quickly which is a plus when rinsing hair. 5/5 M.     I am a total label reader when it comes to the products used on my family's skin and hair.     Amazing stuff and cheaper at Amazon

    This little tin is with me always. For me it speeds up healing. I have thin skin and am constantly bruising from small cuts (gardening) and if I use this immediately on the cut I don't bruise at all. It's good for any kind of scrape, cut and acne breakouts.     This green salve is fantastic

    The ingredients: Sweet almond oil, olive oil, beeswax, comfrey root extract, cocoa butter, wheat germ oil, lavender oil, tocopheryl acetate, comfrey leaf powder, tocopherol, rosemary leaf extract, soybean oil, canola oil, and chlorophyll. The almond, wheat germ and lavender oil are my own usual mixture to heal scars (I put it on after the wound is closed, or a burn is healed over.) Here, you get the same ingredients but also cocoa butter, and comfrey. These are particularly good for healing. Put this on any healing wound (I would not put it on an open wound) and it will help speed up the restoration and prevent scarring--at least it does for me.     Relief for Mosquito Bites

    I am very allergic to mosquito bites and they like to bite me. My bites swell up, are terribly itchy, and last for a week. However, a friend let me use a bit of this balm earlier this afternoon and my bug bite hasn't been itchy since. In fact, I completely forgot that I had one! It's still puffy, but definitely not itchy. AMAZING and I am sold.     I am not a fan of ALL Burt's Bees products but this one is my favorite and a winner. Not too heavy and not too light, it coats well and has an amazing scent. As a person who never smelled pomegranate, I was unsure of trying it, but was tired of the original scent. But I am glad I did. I wish they could make a variation without coconut oil as my husband can not have this on his lips because of allergies. I have one in my purse, one on my desk, and I keep one by my bedside. Chapstick never worked for me, but this product does. I consider this more of a preventive product than a 'healing' product.     One of Our Favorites!!!

    Very much like this pomegranate lip balm! Has a light, soothing texture that protects well and leaves my lips feeling soft and moisturized. Not nearly as thick feeling as plain ChapStick. Pleasant scent that quite often elicits a kiss from my spouse! No tinted look, when applied. Keeps my lips from being chapped, even in cold or dry weather. Much prefer it over other brands.     Not fit for gift giving

    I agree with the previous reviewer, this item is surprisingly small and pathetic looking. There are a couple of small bottles in it and what look like a couple of trial size products.     Best bathtime products for baby

    This basket has everything to get baby clean, soft, and smelling scrumptious. For the price, the amount of products you get is worth it, and they are natural and top quality too. The diaper cream is excellent and made our baby's rash disappear in one to two uses! I only wish the dusting powder was an actual bottle not just a sample packet, but I guess it's ok because our pediatrician strongly advises against using any sort of powder on baby. I, however, love using the dusting powder for myself and purchased a big bottle for daily use. I also love the adorable bee-lined basket and baby comb too!     I'd used Burt's Bees peppermint lip balm for a few years. Here in the "heartland" you'd better not be caught without something for lips and skin in general because it's pretty windy here and the cold is beyond description. Anyway, I'd kind of grown tired of the peppermint version and, so, having recently bought the "thoroughly therapeutic" lotion which contains significant honey decided to try the honey lip balm. Having consumed my fair share of honey, I was quite taken by the wonderful whiff of honey I detected as I uncapped the balm. I do not, ergo, agree with the preceding reviewer's description of the item's smell as one of baby powder and vaseline(?). Also, it was not long before I found it to be far more effective than the peppermint. My lips have become smooth and moist with no roughness from peeling.     Excellent preventive lip balm

    I won't offer any pseudoscience on the merits of beeswax over petrolatum, but it's been my experience that the petro-based chapsticks require you to apply balm constantly. I find that with Burt's Bees, the opposite is true. So there's some anecdotal evidence for you, which is really what Amazon reviews are all about. Some reviewers have noted that this product doesn't help with their chapped lips. I could see that as a possibility. There may be better products out there for healing damaged skin. I think of this balm as a preventive measure. I put this on before I go out, and I never get chapped lips. I have very fair skin that is prone to drying out, and I live in a cold, windy mountain town. Because it eliminates one reason - out of countless, surely - for girls to not want to kiss me, Burt's Bees has my undying devotion.     Great, but hard to use for too long

    I really enjoy Burt's Bees lip balms. The original in my opinion is the best because you can continuously use it without it becoming irritating or annoying. The Honey version has a very similar feel as the original, the obvious difference is instead of a tingly mint sensation there is a sweet, aromatic scent and taste. I originally liked this scent very much, however, with continued use it became somewhat overbearing and I was ready for a switch. Still, once every few months i'll come across this product and buy it for a change.     A Good Facial Scrub

    When my wife brought this little vial home, I looked at it and thought, This is only going to last two days at most! What you'll find is that the facial scrub is a highly concentrated paste. All you have to do is scoop a small portion out and add a little bit of water. Mix it on your hand, and you've got one of the best facial scrubs out there.     Wonderful, moisturizing, fresh

    I love this product so much I researched stores where I can purchase it when I moved (not many do). It's got a great smell, and offers this strange mix of a light scrub yet moisturizing at the same time. Your face just glows afterwards. To get the right effect, scoop a small amount with your fingers and mix it with a bit of water in your hand. Gently rub in circles around your face then rinse. I especially use it around my nose where my pores are large and prone to blackheads. The oils in the scrub don't seem to make it worse and do a great job cleaning the area. Highly recommended. 5/5 M.
