I am Jeremy and I am, unfortunately, 15 years old. A high school freshman with, thank God, four good friends but other than that a seriously boring life in a seriously boring town made livable only by the knowledge that someday in the far-off future at least this will all be over and I'll turn 16 and get a driver's license, which I so richly deserve, and then life will finally be good. Which it isn't now, although it isn't completely bad since I've got best friends (Hector and Pierce) that I can totally trust (seriously), Sara, a girlfriend (sort of) that loves me (sort of), a band that's beginning to come together, no joke, and sounds fairly okay but would sound even better if everybody would just show up for practice for once on the same day at the same time, which, by the way has only happened once. Oh, and my parents are seriously ruining my life. This Zits treasury combines strips from Thrashed and Pimp My Lunch. That means fans can once again enjoy such Zits classic moments as the joys of instant messaging, the proper way to apply deodorant, how to put on an attitude, and much, much more. This is Zits at its best.

Humongous Zits, a Zits treasury
Follows Jeremy's adventures as he copes with parents, school, friends, and other aspects of teenage life.
About this book
Adolescence is a time of painful growth and unpredictable change, when kids come packaged in a jumble of baggy jeans, rolling eyeballs, and grunting communication. Cartoonists Jerry Scott and Jim Borgman have captured the humor of that challenging time with Zits, in which they chronicle the life and times of the typically exasperating yet ever lovable Jeremy Duncan. In this first Zits treasury, faithful fans of Jeremy's world will get a glimpse behind the scenes with never-before-seen sketches and the stories behind the strips. Sunday cartoons appear in full-color, highlighting the strip's acclaimed drawing style. Even though the teenage terrain is rocky, Zits is warm and sympathetic. "The highest compliment we hear from readers is, 'You must have a camera hidden in our house!'" says Borgman.

Big honkin' Zits, a Zits treasury
Follows Jeremy's adventures as he copes with aspects of teenage life including parents, school, and friends.
About this book
Widely lauded by critics, colleagues, and readers, Zitsis has been twice honored with the National Cartoonists Society's Reuben Award as the Best Newspaper Comic Strip, and received the Max and Moritz Award for Best International Comic Strip. This treasury, Big Honkin' Zits, represents a compilation of Don't Roll Your Eyes at Me, Young Man!and Are We an "Us"?. With friends and family, Jeremy ponders life's great philosophical questions, such as, "If the universe is constantly expanding, how come the sky never gets any bigger?" He tackles serious issues, too, deciding with his buddy, Hector, to shave his head to support a friend's mom who's battling cancer. Big Honkin' Zitsmasterfully guides its readers through the real-life joys and heartaches of being a teenager.

Zits Supersized, A Zits Treasury
Follows Jeremy's adventures as he continues through adolescence, coping with parents, school, friends, and other aspects of everyday teenage life.
About this book
Fifteen-year-old Jeremy Duncan is bored with school. His mom talks his ear off. His dad's jokes are lame on a world-class level. But while Jeremy may believe much of his life is a big yawn, parent and teen readers of the comics pages from more than 1,000 different newspapers eagerly embrace the real-life humor and clever stories of Zits every day.Zits: Super-Sized marks the third anxiously awaited treasury of the hilarious trials and tribulations of Jeremy and a dynamic cast of characters that includes girlfriend Sara, best-friends Hector and Pierce, and parents Connie and Walt. The strip is such a funny pages staple that it's hard to believe it was only six years ago that creators Jerry Scott and Jim Borgman were pondering whether Zits was the right name for their soon-to-debut strip. Charles Schulz told Borgman that it was "the worst name for a comic strip since Peanuts." It only stands to reason that the strip would go on to Peanuts-like notoriety. Today, it's impossible to imagine that the humorous, edgy strip could be known by any other name. Complete with brilliant four-color illustrations, Zits: Super-Sized chronicles more than two years' worth of the wildly popular strip that's twice been honored with the award for Best Newspaper Comic Strip by the National Cartoonists Society.

Treasury without Sketchbooks?
Apparently they skipped the sketchbooks this time and went right to a treasury. This LOOKS like newer material. About time. Been waiting a long time for new stuff about the Zits gang. usually the Treasurys say "contains strips from X and Y". This one does not.I actually prefer it this way so I get the colors without having to wait for 2 sketchbooks to be printed. Please don't make us wait so long next time! 5/5 David T (Phoenix, Arizona) - See all my reviews This review is from: My Bad: A Zits Treasury (Paperback) Apparently they skipped the sketchbooks this time and went right to a treasury. Zits Supersized: A Zits Treasury
Book (Andrews McMeel Publishing)
List Price: $18.99
The return of Jeremy Duncan
He is your son, your brother, your neighbor's kid, and your kid's best friend. He is Jeremy Duncan, the sullen star of the hit comic strip "Zits." In the third treasury, "Zits Supersized," Jeremy continues with the typical troubles of a teen -- clueless parents, a longing for freedom, hijinks with pal Hector, and a commitment-phobic girlfriend.Living in the suburbs with his orthodontist dad Walt and child-shrink mom Connie, Jeremy longs for the wild, dangerous life of a rock star. Unfortunately, he's mired in a relatively quiet life. But even if he's not a rocker, Jeremy has plenty of excitement in his life -- he makes the mistake of sleeping nude on the roof, starts calling his dad "Walt," and gets a summer job digging koi ponds. If only he knew what a koi was.A new guy arrives at school -- Pierce, who lives up to his name by having several pounds of metal sticking through various body parts. Jeremy makes the mistake of having an all-night horror-movie... 4/5 E. A Solinas "ea_solinas" (MD USA) - See all my reviews, August 9, 2004The Humorous Trials of Jeremy Continue
Zits is fast becoming a modern classic comic strip, and with good reason. It is consistently funny. The authors, Jerry Scott and Jim Borgman, use every humor tool available to them to get their point across. And, no matter whether it's exaggeration, sarcasm, understatement, or a hilarious sight gag, this book is sure to entertain. The collection starts with the "director's cut" of "Good Night Dude." The original strip appears later in the collection, but here we get a full spoof of the classic picture book. From there, we launch into the daily strip. This book contains strips from sketchbooks #5 and 6, "Unzipped" and "Busted." As an added bonus, the Sunday comics are in color. We get about a year and a half of strips all in one place. Not only do we get the latest on Jeremy and Sara's rocky relationship, but we get to see Jeremy and Hector start their own summer business for no fun and little profit. Pierce also joins the band this... 5/5 Mark Baker (Santa Clarita, CA United States) - See all my reviews, March 9, 2004One of the better Zits collections
There are multiple problems with the Zits series, mainly pertaining to Jeremy's mother (I mentioned this in my review of Random Zits) but this edition gets it pretty well. However, both Big Honkin' Zits and Random Zits were better in terms of plot. Regardless, there are some funny strips here.It has always been blatantly obvious that the situations in the strip were inspired by real teenagers somewhere, and here it doesn't get any better. Sadly, this treasury probably has the highest number of undoubtedly real situations. Despite that, there is not a total absence of plot. Another reviewer said that the buddies come into their own more this time. This is very true- Hector has some pretty awesome comebacks here (yes, even better than his ones during the Amber incident in the last book) and Pierce is introduced. Pierce would be better developed later, but I like to think of this book as the Last Stand of Tim, the one where quiet Tim Olsen left the scene in favor of... 4/5 0, March 5, 2006 -

Crack of Noon: A Zits Treasury
Book (Andrews McMeel Publishing)
List Price: $16.99
Rip-off
I like Zit's, but it's scandalous that this and other Andrews McMeel books don't specify overlapping content. Sunday strips are colored. That aside, Crack of Noon contains nothing other than the contents of Thrashed and Pimp My Lunch. I wasn't happy to learn that I spent (not counting S&H) over $17 for what I could have had for $11. 4/5 Thomas G. Field, Jr. (Concord, NH) - See all my reviews, May 27, 20063.5 Stars: A Bit of a Letdown
I have all the Zits' treasuries, and while I enjoyed this latest one, have to admit that it was the least entertaining of the bunch. Some of the jokes are retreads of previously done jokes from other books, and unlike previous collections there weren't any strips that segued together to form a storyline. I was also disappointed to see so many one panel strips, like Family Circus.Entertaining, but not as good as previous compilations. 3/5 N. Bilmes "bookaholic" (Vernon, CT United States) - See all my reviews, July 10, 2007Totally relevant to everyone
If you're a parent, this book is for you. This book is going to help you find out what your teenager is thinking, and how they think. If you're a teenager, this jokes in the strips strike so close to home it's impossible not to laugh. For example, having high school fantasy about girls, or guys, or teachers!I think every teenager and parents can relate to Zits. It's almost like a documentary, told in panels, to the point of déjà vu.I also love the art drawn by Jim Borgman as well.I've all series of Zits treasuries, and will buy if there are more in the future. This particular book contains comics from the two individual books, Thrashed and Pimp My Lunch.(Check out my Amazon profile for other books I've reviewed.) 5/5 Parka (Singapore) - See all my reviews, December 23, 2008 -

Jeremy and dad - a review
This was very similar to Jeremy and Mom, so if you purchased that one, then you will like this one, too. This is just a collection of strips including how Jeremy and Dad -relationship and characters have developed and how the writers have got the ideas for the characters, their clothing, the typical topics and problems with teenager and his father. It is still a hilarious collection to read even if I had read the same ones before. The notes made by the authors also reveal the ideas behind the cartoons and characters and it is interesting to see how much the characters relate to the real world and issues.Part of me was confused when the authors describe that the parents background is based on 1960s (like it is in the cartoon) with all the old fashioned clothes and memories of roadtrips in 1960s... but then Jeremy is teenager now with ipods... So the age difference of a parent who had lived their young adult life in 1960s and todays's teenagers, is huge! There have been and continue to be several comic strips that focus on the relationship between teenagers and their families. There have also been several comic strips that featured a teenager as one of several characters in the strip. However, Jerry Scott & Jim Borgman's "Zits" is the only current comic strip I know of that focuses on a teenage boy and the relationship between he and his parents. Though it has been marketed as a treasury, JEREMY & DAD isn't really a treasury. It's more of a themed collection featuring strips from the past few years revolving around Jeremy and his dad, Walt. Fans of the strip probably already own most of these strips in collection books. This is a book for people that aren't already familiar with "Zits". It also makes a nice gift to give to a father for a Christmas gift, birthday present, or Father's Day treasure. 3/5 tvtv3 "tvtv3" (Sorento, IL United States) - See all my reviews, November 4, 2010People who buy Zits treasuries

Humongous Zits is a compilation of the first two books of this comic strip. It starts out a little slow while the main characters are being introduced, but it soon catches its stride.Jeremy Duncan is a typical teenager just trying to live his life. His parents are on his back, he's got homework to avoid, his garage band isn't getting recording contracts, and he's awkward around the girl of his dreams. Needless to say, his life is anything but boring. The strip is written from Jeremy's point of view, which leads to some great sight gags as we see a situation through his eyes. The characters are slightly cartoonish but real enough for many years of great strips, and I look forward to enjoying it for years to come. 4/5 Mark Baker (Santa Clarita, CA United States) - See all my reviews, October 4, 2001TO THE ZITS FOLLOWER THIS BOOK WILL BE A DISAPPOINTMENT
This books contains NO NEW CARTOONS, and the Zits follower could feel cheated, but to NEW Zits FAN, it's a GREAT BUY, a two in one special. So, to the followers - if you have previous books don't purchase this book, unless your're buying it for a friend 2/5 0, April 14, 2000 -

Laughter Abounds
I've read all the anthologies, and this one ranks as one of the top-two for the series. There are many enjoyable subplots and less individual strips that were missing from the last collection, and caused the previous anthology to be a cut below par.Enjoy! 5/5 N. These books were Christmas presents for my grandchildren. They arrived quickly and were in excellent condition. 5/5 Janice E. Watkins - See all my reviews, January 7, 2008Huge fun
Scott and Borgman bring us another brilliant collection of Zits. If you're not already a fan: it centers on Jeremy, a perfectly normal, irrational, insightful, clueless, hormone-addled, fifteen year old. He navigates the incomprehensible world of parents, girls, and the world in general, with the cheery self-centeredness you might expect.Somehow, Scott and Borgman take this improbable universal and bring it to life, as only the best of comic writers can. They use surreal shifts of mindscape to illustrate the teenager's baffled and baffling view of the world, but with a foundation of empathy for Jeremy that keeps the tone affectionate. And, as long as the world has teenage boys in it, they'll have an endless source new confusion to work with.- wiredweird 5/5 wiredweird "wiredweird" (Earth, or somewhere nearby) - See all my reviews, November 6, 2009 -

Random Zits: A Zits Treasury
Book (Andrews McMeel Publishing)
List Price: $16.99
Best Comic in the Funny Papers!
This is the fourth treasury in the wonderful life of the Zits comic strip. It includes comics from Sketchbook's 7 & 8, "Road Trip" and "Teenage Tales", respectively. Hopefully, you've learned that treasuries are the most cost-efficient way to get every comic for the best value. Random Zits continues the Zits tradition of following 15-year-old Jeremy along his journies of girls, friends, music, and parental rebellion. It is a wonderful coming-of-age strip that has taken the place of "favorite comic book" for many Calvin & Hobbes fans looking for a new #1. This collection continues to put Jeremy in new situations, with a lot of strip scenarios running for multiple pages. This helps keep the strip new and interesting. Relationships around him change, and his different interests keep him from being a one-bit character. Zits is the funniest strip in the funny papers today, and this treasury is a great example of this. Included in the book is a large fold out poster that resembles the cover. 5/5 Eric Olsen (Plainfield, IL) - See all my reviews, November 24, 2004Random "Zits
What is it like to be a fifteen-year-old boy? If "Random Zits," the anthology of the sixth and seventh "Zits" books, is any indication, then it's not exactly fun and games.Jim Borgman and Jerry Scott (of "Baby Blues") continue to chronicle teenage angst, and the angst that comes with raising a teenager, as Jeremy continues to struggle with high school, romance, and the crippling embarrassment that comes with having parents. In this treasury, Jeremy encounters new problems: his mother's birthday and only twenty-five bucks to buy a present with, time on the beach with his pals, an illegal jaunt with Hector in their run-down van, reading "Moby Dick," and a forced family vacation where he spends the whole time playing video games. On the home front, Jeremy also has to deal with the hopelessly uncool parents he's stuck with: clashes with his parents on dating, curfews, laundry, and surfing on the ironing board. On the other side is Walt and Connie, who try... 4/5 E. A Solinas "ea_solinas" (MD USA) - See all my reviews, October 25, 2005Great Comic Strip
Im a fourteen year old boy. I Have almost all the zits books and love every word. They relate perfectly to a son or a parent. They capture life today perfectly. I think they are really funny and would recommend them to any teenage boy or their parent. 5/5 Kristin L. Van Zanten "amazoner44" - See all my reviews, December 29, 2008 -

doubling up
I have purchased all of the Zits books (expensive when shipped to Australia) and I have been disappointed that two of the books contain cartoons repeated from the other books. Be aware that this book contains cartoons from "don't roll your eyes at me" and "are we an us". It would be nice for Amazon to tell us this before we buy.I have a seventeen year old son and I think the "Zits" books have bought us closer together because they place contentious areas into the open in an atmosphere of great humour. 5/5 Peter Liston (SOUTHBANK, VIC Australia) - See all my reviews This review is from: Big Honkin' Zits: A Zits Treasury (Paperback) I have purchased all of the Zits books (expensive when shipped to Australia) and I have been disappointed that two of the books contain cartoons repeated from the other books. Jeremy returns in his second treasury, combining strips from the books "Don't Roll Your Eyes at Me, Young Man!" and "Are We an Us?" Not much has changed since the first treasury. He still wishes his parents would get off his back, he still doesn't understand women, and he still dreams of making it big in music. But whether he's trying to decide what to do about the upcoming Gingivitis concert, win back Sara from a sophomore, support a friend's mom who has cancer, or sneak over to his girlfriend's babysitting job, he's sure to find the humor in any situation.Unfortunately, I don't get the strip in my local paper, so I have to wait for these books to enjoy it. But I can certainly see why it has become such a popular strip. Everyone can appreciate the humor in the storylines, which poke fun at everyone equally. The visual gages are some of the best in the papers today and make for some of the best strips in the book as well. And it's easy to like these characters because they... 5/5 Mark Baker (Santa Clarita, CA United States) - See all my reviews, April 5, 2002Heehehhahahahahheeheeheehhe, yukyukyuk!
I evaluate funnies by the drawings, and, of course, is it funny or not? With that said, here we go.In some ways, I think this comic is influenced by Calvin and Hobbes, one of the most memorable and classic strips. This comic strip is drowned in sarcasm and irony. The drawings have a sort of sketchy quality about them, something that makes them loose and very cool-looking. They have shading and scribbly detail, but are still very clear and easy to understand. It has more than 4 characters, allowing the cartoonist to come up with many interesting character traits. Exploring these personalities is very fun to read. A boy and a girl never seen not hugging each other, a mom, a dad, a big brother, and a boy with a guitar are just some of the characters. I think this strip has about the right amount of characters. This book is my first encounter with the comic and it is very appealing. I won't tell you to buy it, because I'm not a salesperson. I'm merely telling you why I like it. 5/5 "barracudaman232" (St.Paul, MN, USA) - See all my reviews This review is from: Big Honkin' Zits: A Zits Treasury (Paperback) I evaluate funnies by the drawings, and, of course, is it funny or not? Sunday Brunch: The Best of Zits Sundays
Book (Andrews McMeel Publishing)
List Price: $19.99
Don't buy the Kindle version
I bought the Kindle version for my iPad. What a waste of money. By now publishers ought to know better than to publish a strip reprint with images of the strips that are too low resolution to even be readable. The images are barely large enough to read at the default size on my iPad, and they are so low res that zooming in just makes them less readable. If you love Zits like I do, buy the print version. 1/5 R. L. Clark - See all my reviews, November 1, 2011Great new treasure!
This is a great new Zits collection! I really like the way the authors explain the ideas behind the strips and how they created the Zits characters. It sure has changed a lot since the first strips. The characters are more smooth and detailed, the first ones were more rough looking. However, the idea behind the Zits and its characters has stayed the same. 5/5 New reader (New York, USA) - See all my reviews This review is from: Sunday Brunch: The Best of Zits Sundays (Paperback) This is a great new Zits collection!
