  The best correcting serum

  This product is great. It takes care of a blemish quickly but it does not leave the skin too dry. I have tried a lot of these. It also help with after blemish scarring. This really is the best!   Have not seen any results

  I bought this product based off of other cusomer reviews and I have been using the product for a month and a half. It kind of helps clear your skin but definitely not worth $30. Some other reviewers said that it improved the condition of their skin butI have seen nothing like that.   Clancy and Brown Fan Adds New Author to His List

  This is the first Hagberg book I have picked up, and based on the references to previous books about McGarvey, I will be hounding the local librarian to get all of the previous Kirk McGarvey books soon. I enjoyed the brisk plot with the intertwined subplots that only served to add to the main plotline, rather than detract from it. After reading this book, I feel that I 'know' the main character, even without reading the previous adventures of Kirk McGarvey. This is somewhat of an accomplishment (although some of the more experienced McGarvey fans may have found the character references tiring). The book was an exciting read until the very end, when I feel that the author abruptly wrapped the main plotline. It's almost as if the author noticed the page count and then decided to get out of the book as quickly as possible. However, even this annoyance does not budge me from my rating of a 10.   Not bad, but not his best work

  Assassin is a difficult book to get into, the hook is not as enticing as it could have been, so it took me several weeks of picking it up to take the hook. Once it got to the point and the action started I had trouble putting the book down. The introduction of McGarvey's daughter I though was an interesting touch and I enjoyed the rest of the book. I thought the end was a bit anticlimactic with the two villains not putting up the fight I probably expect from fictional villains. Over all not the worst read but not his best work. 3/5 0, August 1, 1999

  Not exactly a page-turner

  I got this one for Christmas and read it on the plane ride home because it was only slightly more entertaining than the inflight magazine or the guy sitting next to me. Where to start? Two-dimensional characters, implausible plot (how hard is it really to destroy an armoured TRAIN?!!), outrageous coincidences, a hero I couldn't have cared less about, silly and misinformed integration of the Internet into the plot, the list goes on. Its unfortunate because I think the author was onto something good by writing about the dangers of another Stalin emerging from Russia's current crisis. 1/5 0, January 2, 1999

  Adolescent Connections

  Sherman Alexie reaches out to every adolescent who has ever felt isolated, alone, or embarrassed about themselves. The protagonist, Michael (or "Zits") embodies the very essence of adolescent behavior: he lashes out against authority; he seeks acceptance and friendship from a boy that shares similar beliefs; he speaks in a tone and voice that is a perfect replica of most teens today; and, Zits searches for his identity at a point in his life which mirrors when most teens are uncertain of who they are. Each of these important life experiences offer the reader a chance to connect to this dynamic character.The language that Sherman Alexie uses really is sophisticated, relatable and engaging. Zits uses foul language to protect himself. Basically, the language Zits uses serves as a defense mechanism, and in turn, shows his reluctance to open his heart.   In light of recent tragedy, this book is a must read!

  I have pretty much loved everything that I've read of Sherman Alexie's. He is absolutely brilliant, and his latest work is no exception. I found out about this book from a recent NPR interview with Mr. Alexie and bought it the next day. In a few short days, I was finished with it.I'm not sure that it would have had such a strong impact on me if it hadn't been for the recent incident at VT. Such an event is difficult to make sense of, but reading this book about a person who justifies random murders in his head is eerily similar to what happened. Is killing ever all right? How many things do we justify to ourselves that may be in the scheme of things really unjustifiable?What I was really in need of after something so awful was hope.   There's a miracle for each of us if we'll only claim it...

  I recommend in the strongest possible way Therese Marszalek and Sheri Stone's book `Miracles Still Happen' which has had a wonderful impact on myself and my wife and our two special needs children. It is so encouraging when one is going through troubled times or anxiety to see how a miracle is available to each and every one of us if we will only claim it - and that there is an answer to absolutely everything we may face by humbly bringing our prayers to God in faith. In the past few months our family have experienced God's intervention in what were very tough times, but this is not the first time we've encountered a miracle. Our daughter has overcome certain medical difficulties in a way that no doctor can explain and we have learned over time that God is the most competent and reliable physician of all. But there are other types of miracles besides healing ones as the reader will discover through reading `Miracles Still Happen'.
