OCD-lightful!
Confused, looking at my legs and arms to see if I had unintentionally been picking a scab, I replied, “I’m not picking my scabs. My five-year-old niece recently asked me, “Can you stop picking your scabs. “No,” she corrected me, “Like, when you have a scab, can you stop picking it. Because I can’t. As if that is not embarrassing enough (both admitting to watching the show and crying), it was while Will Schuster knelt beside his OCD girlfriend Emma and sang the emotionally wrenching Coldplay song “Fix You”. Nor do I feel the need to moisturize my hands in a clockwise motion a certain number of times before bed each night. If her hair barrette doesn’t match her leggings, watch out. She’s lucky, because nobody saw it as a problem for me. Not too long ago, I cried while watching Glee. I mean, there were signs early on. When we went shopping and there were strewn garments on the floor, my niece fought to get out of her stroller to fix it. When I put on her diaper, she would double-check it to make sure it was right. A scab or a piece of dry skin is just sitting there on your body waiting to heal and fall off. But no, there is a need inside you, an obsession to remove it, to get it off of you. At first we thought it was cute, but we are now seeing how it can be a problem....

In Relation To Avoiding Acne These Suggestions Should Help
In this article we’re going to cover a few things that you can do to help minimize your acne and help to clear your skin. Your face needs to cope with bacteria, dirt and oil during the day so you must wash your face constantly to keep it clean. Makeup foundation has a tendency to clog your pores, and that means you will be trapping bacteria in your pores every time you put on your makeup products. You might not realize that once you pop a blemish all that bacteria has been released and can end up in more of the pores of your face leading to larger breakout’s. One thing you have to do is to wash your face a couple of times during the day. Another thing you don’t want to do is to pop your white heads. While acne can affect mostly teenagers it is an issue that also affects many adults. Many females likewise have problems with acne and they ought to stop using cover ups as well as other makeup’s whenever they can. And so stay clear of the actual blemish popping. By merely centering on your eyes and lips you will be eliminating the cover ups which clog the pores on your face....

How to get rid of really little pimples on my face?
It's mostly on my forehead.
I can't get rid of them!
I can get rid of the big ones but the little ones just stay there!
And I have some acne scars.
Can anyone recommend any products or home remedies for little pimples and acne scars if you know.
Thanks!
First off i noticed you said you have acne scars. This is most likely because you may have been trying to pop them? Popping zits or acne causes scarring. Try to stay away from doing that.
Back on topic; I've been having the same problems. I heard from a few people online and on different beauty websites, that if you want a quick over-night way to get rid of small zits or acne, try putting a dap of like mint or some kind of toothpaste on it. Not to much but enough to cover it. People said that if you apply to much, just like acne creams, it will dry it out and make it worse. Try not to touch that spot where you have your acne and it should be gone within three days of doing this. Once in the morning and once before bed. Let it sit on your face for about 5 minuets and wash off afterwords.

use clearasil before bed every night. it works nicely to reduce acne but if your face gets too dry use a face moisturizer during the day. i used to have those small pimples too and i used clearasil and it worked! also, put ppowder makeup over them if you cant wait for them to dissappear. it will look natural, and your pimples will go away! :D

These work better for people with oily skin, because they dry out your skin. Egg whites and crushed up asprin with a little water might work.

Drink water. It will bring your pimples out and then they just all go away. Stay away from chocolate too.

OK some beauty tips:
MAKEUP
never wear lip liner a shade/shades darker than your lipstick
under 30-shouldn't be wearing lip liner anyway
wiggle the brush as you apply mascara
when applying lipstick to avoid tooth stains stick your index finger in your mouth and pull out
white eyeliner on the waterline=big eyes
the perfect shade of lipstick is on the inside of your bottom lip
concealer, than foundation to set it
stick concealer for eyes
bronze can make your face look thinner etc if you do it right
penciled eyebrows- UC no offense if you have them-it depends
FACE AND SKIN, ZITS/PIMPLES
puffy under/eyes? submerge 2 teaspoons in ice water for 30 minutes or as long as you can and than place on your eyes until they loose their cool can repeat if you want, you can also place the spoons in water and then in the freezer
toner really does clean and a good one leaves it soft
tea tree oil and toothpaste are good for blemishes
thick masques usually pull the dirt out of your pores
heat up about a teaspoon of milk, then dip a small piece of bread (small or big enough to cover the zit) place it on your face and put a band aid (fabric sticks better) over it, it sucks out the dirt of some black heads and puss etc
if you can stand the heat-place a small EMPTY medicine bottle (like those small Motrin or anti nausea etc) in boiling water until hot then squeeze the air out and put it over your zit and let it suck the dirt out (it suctions to your face) [warning may cause bruising-painless but visible its like when you get one around your mug from sucking up a cup!!]
oatmeal and sugar/lemon scrubs are better than a lot of store bought stuff
don't pop zits popping=scars
avocado, coconut, olive

I don't know if that's a true tip, never heard of it.
But drink water, and lots of it. Helps skin and weight (if you drink too little water one day, you retain the next day). Wash face every night before bed. Exfoliate at least once a week. Try to get 15 minutes of sunlight everyday. Use a moisturizer with SPF daily! Always, always remember your eyebrows, too. They are often overlooked!

how do i get rid of acne on my face fast?
i have tryed washing my face over and over but it doesnt work, when i get real desprate, i try and pop them, but then a scab would come. and that really looks horrible, i dontwear make up and stuff like that. i want to get rid of it naturally
If you want to get rid of acne naturally look up something like 'natural acne treatments' on google and HEAPS of useful stuff comes up. Lots of the things are actually items you probably have at home anyway. You can try:
-Lemon juice
-Rubbing a bit of garlic onto the acne
-Toothpaste (doesn't work for me but lots of people swear by it)
Also drinking lots of water, getting enough sleep and eating lots of fresh fruit and veg can help. You might also want to try cutting down on dairy and meat and taking vitamins (I take ones which are a special combination for acne, found them at the supermarket)
Washing your face twice a day should be fine, and always pat dry. Just don't touch the zits! Popping them is sooooo bad for your skin unless you get it done by a professional (which hurts like hell).
Good luck!

try colgate regular plain white toothpaste and put it on ur zips it drys them up or try rubbing alcohol on a cotton ball and rub all over ur face . both works great on me and hopefully they do the same for you it might dry your skin out a bit but its better then acne
XxSelina_landxX | Jun 19, 2008
well if you want to get rid of it fast theres two option that work well
1. Proactive
works aweosmley!!
2. Clearsil (vanishing) cream :
leave it over night and the next day, it looks less and less noticible

May sure you're not eating greasy foods like french fries or fried whatever. If not, you could have sensitive skin and just about any soap would break it out. If you're oily skinned, use Mary Kay cleanser for that. If not use the normal cleanser. That really stopped the years of misery that I encounter not to mention the money lost on products that did not work.

use muttani clay with sandalwood paste.HOPE IT WILL WORK ON UR SKIN.......GOOD LUCK.
momspreferbrooke :) | Jun 19, 2008
you probably shouldn't pop them because when you do so, it scars and where you once had the pimple looks like a crater (sp?) like on the moon
rubbing alcohol burns but it cleans it out and drys it so it goes away
proactive worked good, but it dryed out my face really bad.
i don't know if you have ever seen the commercials for bare mineral make up
i know you said you don't wear make up but this stuff is amazing.
all you do is brush a think layer on and it covers everything up
ive been using it for 2 years now
it actually has helped clear my acne up
if you can't find anything though, you can go to the doctor, they have all kinds of stuff that can help you

this sounds stupid but it works really well. get a really bad burn on your face or dark tan you will have no acne at all in less than two days.

For example, when I used the Clearing the voices in you head section, I realized that my impatience and demand for immediate satisfaction urged me to just pop a zit as soon as it arrived on my face. I would say, "I hate these zits?

IS IT DANGEROUS TO POP ZITS? In an unrelated but truly bizarre story, one night I was working in the ER and a patient came in with a bandage over her jaw. I asked her what happened and she was very timid in responding.
