    What Will Cause Zits?

  • Feb 09, 2011 from rscossworth(Jasmin Ivanova)
rscossworth Suffering from zits is a type of disease of the pilosebaceous items, also referred to as PSUs. PSUs are located in most locations of the body. They consist of a gland that is related to a canal that's known as a follicle; the follicle comprises a small hair. The largest variety of PSUs are situated on the face, higher back and chest. Sebum, an oily substance secreted by the glands, finds its way to the floor of the skin by way of the pores or the opening of the follicles.

    great product

I have had trouble with acne for the past 6 or 7 years now. I'm now 28 and have literally tried everything. This is the only product that has worked. I still get the odd spot once in a while but after dabbing a little of this product on the trouble spots, they begin to disappear immediately. Within one week I had perfectly clear skin. Unfortunately, this product does tend to dry out the skin so I only use it during the week and give my skin a break on the weekends. Excellent product! 5/5 courtney_dub - See all my reviews Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?) very effective!

I found out about this tool at a salon when I went for a facial cleaning and the skin care technician used it on me; at first I didn't see what it was, but she kept on saying that "a lot" was coming out. It hurt a little, but it didn't leave any red marks. So at the end of the treatment I asked if I could see the tool, I was too curious; then I went home and ordered one. It's great! Lots & lots of stuff comes out! But you SHOULDN'T use it if your skin hasn't been washed and pores opened. It's best to do it right after a good shower (I usually wash my face in the shower). Does it hurt? Of course it hurts a little, but it also hurt at the salon, and we don't complaint when a professional is doing it. IF your skin has been soaked enough with warm water you shouldn't have to press so hard for stuff to come out; you should run it through the target area, not hold it down on one spot (that's what causes the marks). **Note: works best on nose, chin, and forehead; not good on your cheekbones. 4/5 N. Do It Right

If blackheads and pimples are an aggravation to you, here is the right tool to get rid of them. We've all heard that using your fingers to mess with blackheads and pimples can cause scarring and other problems. Using the extractor is easy and it works very well. You push it against your skin, and it forces all of the pore-clogging gunk out without allowing bacteria from your hands to invade. Sometimes, it can be painful to use on certain bumps. It will cause your face to look puffy for a few minutes, but if you use it at night for the full extraction, everything will be back to normal by morning. 5/5 Robyn Wilson (Incirlik AB, Turkey) - See all my reviews Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?) well made but too thick for me

i bought this and a lancet also from suvorna together, which makes less scarring because the lancet pokes a small hole for the acne to come out.i used to have a lancet plus remover that i've been using like forever, but it was my mom's, so when i went study abroad i know i need to get my own. the one that i had has a thin wire loop as a remover, and i think this might have affected my opinions on the suvorna remover, just kept that in mind for now.because of all the good comments i saw so i decided to give it a try. i looked online on guides on using the suvorna specifically but the suvorna website is not up yet. i also read some websites on how a flat remover can provide more even forces on the surrounding skin of the acne which can cause less scarring, hence i was really excited to try the suvorna acne remover.however when i try to use it on my acne, it's just too thick, even after i poke a little hole with my lancet. i tried to use the flat side... 3/5 Janis Lai "j" (Boston, USA / Hong Kong) - See all my reviews, August 13, 2010

Best Over the Counter Acne Product Money Can Buy

I've tried many over the counter and prescription acne products, and this one is definitely most effective for me. It is a 2.5% benzoyl peroxide solution which is actually more effective than the 10% solutions and is far less irritating. It's name is "On-the-Spot," but my dermatologist instructed me to use is all over as a preventative measure, as it is relatively gentle compared to some other treatments. Just use a moisturizer with sunscreen after applying it. As with ALL benzoyl peroxide treatments, there is a risk of bleaching to clothing. I've noticed that it really only bleaches lighter colors, such as pastels and some grays, but I've never had it bleach anything with bold colors such as black, navy, gold, etc. 5/5 0, January 19, 2009

I know that we, acne sufferes, are vulnerable people that want to get rid of this condition that carries such a heavy stigma as quickly as possible. But if you're considering buying this book and get the best out of it, read it with an open mind and a positive atitude.San-Joyz offers an aproach other than the traditional methods used, which is more holistic as well as affordable. The book is well organized and easy to read, but above all, you've got to put this knowledge into practice.Like any other book of this kind it's up to you to decide what works for you and stick with it.I never quite understood why I've had an acne outbreak. I'm 54 years old and had a pimple once in a while but nothing out of extraordinary. In this book I've found out why my face was breaking out: I had a poor protein digestion wich provoked acne inflammations. The reason I'm so sure of that is because when my acne problem starded I was on a high protein diet wich was... 5/5 Ana Luiza Welch "TIPSY GIPSY" (Colorado, USA) - See all my reviews, September 6, 2006

I switched to this, and have now had clear skin for YEARS. Clean feel, and doesn't leave my skin dry. A+!!!

Like many people, I have had trouble with clear skin in the past. Since I've become sick, my skin was producing more oil, and it was driving me MAD! LOL I had been using Clearasil, and I couldn't afford Proactive. Clearasil was leaving my skin VERY dry, especially when I started needing to use the pads a few times a day. If I feel my face is oily, and I leave it, I'm just asking for pimples. So that means cleaning my skin more often. I made a decision to go ahead and just try the Stridex for a little while. I felt the difference, the fresh, clean feeling, RIGHT away. Within a few days, my skin was clear, and not only that, but my skin wasn't dry and tight, like the Clearasil tended to do. Don't get me wrong, Clearasil worked too, it was just VERY astringent, and dried out my skin quickly. This stuff is so good that even if I'm feel awful and skip a cleaning, another outbreak doesn't happen right away. My skin makes oil so quickly, and so much so, that my glasses sometimes slip... 5/5 R. A. McDowell "WWSista" (San Antonio, Texas, USA) - See all my reviews, May 2, 2011

I'm so glad I found this stuff. I use Differin, which can make my skin more sensitive to harsh products, but this stuff doesnt bother my skin at all. I'm so glad Stridex took out the irritating ingredients like alcohol that can dry your skin and make breakouts worse.I use this to keep blackheads on my nose under control. What I really like is that it is a liquid so it doesnt feel heavy or greasy on your skin. A Powerful Medicate Pad That Gives "Maximum" Effort...

I've used various brands of medicated pads for years. I tend to stick with Stridex or Oxy (depends on what's on sale really) but I always got the best results from Stridex. Stridex makes a few varieties of pads but I usually pick up the Sensitive Skin or Maximum Strength varieties with either giving very good results. Below is a review for the Stridex: MAXIMUM pads; a great choice if you want maximum effort in combating oil, dirt and breakouts.I actually have sensitive skin but find the Maximum pads give better results (probably due to 1.5% more salicylic acid). It is because of these better results I always keep a box on hand with my Sensitive skin variety. What I like about Maximum strength is that you can feel the pad working. Not only does it clean your skin of oil and dirt, but after use you can feel the medicated pad continue to work. The maximum pads do an outstanding job at preventing break outs, and cleaning your face and skin. However, for someone like me... 5/5 Jason Ralsky (New Jersey, USA) - See all my reviews, September 19, 2011

Good stuff, but keep an eye on the dryness it causes

This stuff works as described. However, as with any product that contains Salicylic Acid, keep an eye on how much it dries out your skin. Using a moisturizer daily while using this product will keep your skin in balance. The 8 oz bottle will last for a while. It only takes a small amount on your wash cloth to properly clean your face. I would suggest using about a pea size up to two pea size amounts of cleanser on the wash cloth. The directions suggest twice a day. I use it in the shower in the morning and before bed at night. 5/5 M. Rowe (Honolulu, HI USA) - See all my reviews, February 28, 2011

    Absolutely no dryness

I've been using noxzema pads up to this point. The noxzema ones sting like hell (which I sort of liked because it feels like it's 'working') and caused a lot of dry skin afterwards(which wasn't cool). With the Stridex ones, there is no stinging (a mild tingling at the most) and most importantly causes no drying out on the skin.I can't really say if one works better than the other (both do work well in clearing up and preventing breakouts). But if one can do the job without some of the unwanted side-effects at around the same price... well...I would recommend to anyone with very sensitive skin and/or dry skin.As for the remaining noxzema pads, I will be putting them to good use on the breakouts on my arm. 5/5 W.
