Acne bump or something like it under my eye?
I've had this hard knot like bump under my eye for over 2 weeks. At first I thought it was a pimple, but it's not getting any bigger, smaller, or coming to a head. I'm scheduled to meet my boyfriends parents on Friday and I don't want it there! What can I do about it? Can a doctor lance it something
It could be one of three things:

My little trick i used to get rid of zits, before i was prescribed medication, was over-the-counter Cortizone (It's actually a rash cream, but works great at getting rid of the inflammation and infection). On my stye, with a Q-tip i dabbed Cortizone every night for 2 nights. Night 1 all the pain was gone, Night 2 the stye went away. Try any tricks you have up your sleeve to get rid of zits, and get 'er on that stye!

I've heard that toothpaste works... But I'm not sure. Is there anything I could use that I might have around the house?
you can't magically get rid of zits over night but you CAN make them less noticeable. If it's red and swollen crush an aspirin and drop a LITTLE bit of water on it, enough so that it makes a paste and apply it on the pimple. This will reduce redness and inflammation. If it's a white head heat up some water grab a cotton ball or cloth and wet it a little then put it over the white head until you don't feel it's warmth. Wrap toilet paper around both your index fingers and softly squeeze the pimple/zit until a bit of blood comes out then clean the surface. the next day you can apply a bit of make up. first apply lotion/vaseline where the pimple/zit was the add base/powder.

Lotion helps. Moisture and hydration is important. I always wash my face with water and put on lotion. If that doesnt work try a face wash with benzoyl peroxide.

will putting toothpaste on zits really make them go away faster? i have seen other questions like this and some of the answers say it will burn. if anyone with experience knows, please tell me if it works and how to use it. thanks!
