  decent instrument

  Just got this today and tried it out. Overall, I'd say it is a decent instrument for the price tag, although something like $5 or 10 may have been more appropriate. It feels well-made, and comes with a small, discrete leather-looking cover for storage. My only complaint is that the tips come unscrewed if you hold it incorrectly.It doesn't really do anything spectacular. The rounded end works just about as well as tweezers for "extracting." I liked the sharp "lancet" a bit more... you could probably get a similar effect by using a sharp sewing-type needle, but this tool's "spade" shape probably works a bit better. I think the main reason to consider this product would be if you want a separate instrument specifically for this purpose - if you don't have needles and tweezers to spare or don't want to get yours dirty. Also, do not buy this if you cannot stand any pain.   This is a nice little piece for facial cleansing.

  Be aware that this tool has separate end pieces that will arrive reversed inside of the handle tube. At first, I thought that the two end pieces were missing. Just unscrew the end threads and the lancet and extractor are within the handle. This is a nice little tool that does a good job if you know how to be careful with your skin.   I was introduced to the Pores No More Pore Refiner this summer when I was experimenting with ways to cover the blackheads on my nose. After about 1 month of using this I was surprised to see that my pores became significantly smaller AND I had much fewer blackheads!! Before this, the only product that barely helped reduce my blackheads was the Biore ULTRA deep cleansing strips (regular Biore strips do nothing on me).I used the Pores No More Pore Refiner with makeup to cover my blackheads because I had a summer job.   I'm the first to defend a product when I believe that customers are unfair in reviews. I've been told in fact that I've been too generous in my reviews. When I recieved this product I was so excited to use it. I used it, and i did absolutely nothing.   This is a really effective tool. My face is always covered in white heads/black heads that I never could get rid of. The first time I used this, I removed almost every little embedded white head/black head from my forehead, nose, cheeks, and chin. Trust me, there was a lot that I visibly saw being extracted by this tool.I used this after washing my face in a hot shower. I also keep the tool clear as I use it by dipping it in rubbing alcohol inbetween extractions, and rinsing it off in hot water. You have to keep your face wet for this to work after a shower, cause only then will the black heads be visible enough/soft enough to extract.Just drag the big loop of large areas to extract many white heads at once, such as your forhead/chin. Making sure to press it flat onto the skin, and running it over so that it presses out the heads.   It used to be a good product, but not any more.

  I bought two of these recently, and they are awful. Too bad because I bought one several years ago, and it was fantastic. The difference is in the manufacturing. The older version is like a fine medical instrument. The loops that are used to express the comedone are strong but very thin, well-angled and appropriately sized for the task, and smoothly finished. By contrast, the two that I bought most recently look like they were made by your average eighth grader in metal shop. The loops are not angled at all, are three to four times the diameter of those on the good one, and are coarse in both their dimensions and finish--in fact the edges are kind of sharp and they appear to be not finished at all. Both implements are completely useless for the task. No better than using a paper clip.Both the old and the new were made in Pakistan and sold by Revlon.   I opted for a more expensive brand and design over this one initially. I wish I'd have been cheap and just bought this one in the first place. The other one was sharp and it was hard to use without cutting the skin. Defeats the whole purpose of using a tool instead of your finger nails. Anyway, the loops on the Revlon gently coax out trapped white or black heads of all sizes. One complaint on many of these is that one loop is too big and, therefore, useless.   I've been using the Acne Stress Power-Cream Wash (not the scrub) for about 3 weeks now and my skin is the clearest and softest it has been in a long time.   BEST face wash I've ever used

  This is the first review I've ever written on a product I've purchased from Amazon. Often, if a product is no good, I just won't purchase it again and move on with my life. If a product is satisfactory or good, I'll (selfishly and lazily) keep it to myself.I'm coming down to the end of my fourth bottle since May of 2011. I LOVE THIS STUFF!   Not bad, but was expecting better.

  Comes in very nice packaging, great set of tools.Each tool can get screwed onto the handle and easily interchanged. However, the loop tool, which i tend to use the most often, became loose after a few uses and does not screw on right anymore. The double ended feature gives you the option to choose how much damage you want to do; one end is a thin metal loop (the end I mostly use), and the other end is flatter strip of metal that doesn't do me much good. One should be mindful that the same job can be done with skillful finger manipulation, but this tool is most useful in those hard to reach areas, like the corners of your nose. One slow swipe of this tool down the side of your nose will have you obsessing about every pore on your face, so use carefully with a light touch. You will be red afterward, so do it at night after a bath and a good face scrubbing. It is important to clean the tool before and after each use or you'll just spread the bacteria around, causing you to need the tool more. Don't dig to deep: you could easily create scars.
